It really is big. And HEAVY! I've had a lot of engines on that cherry picker, but this one is by far the heaviest. Down the road I'd like to upgrade to an aluminum block to help offset some of the added weight I just tossed over the front wheels.
Just wait for the 5.8 block to become available through frpp.

That's kind of my plan.
Yea, but it's going to be so much fun.It really is big. And HEAVY! I've had a lot of engines on that cherry picker, but this one is by far the heaviest. Down the road I'd like to upgrade to an aluminum block to help offset some of the added weight I just tossed over the front wheels.
This is the truth. My garage is heated and cooled. It's well lit. I have a nice stereo in there I connect my iphone to. It's comfortable in a garage kind of way. Last night while dropping the motor in I had a pretty amazing Eric Clapton and BB king set playing (I'm a sucker for blues). So even though I'm working, it's a place I want to be.
Anyway, so last night I couldn't sleep, so I went ahead and dropped the motor/trans in. Now I just have to work on final assembly.
