Here's a video from this past Saturday, taken by my friend Mike (06 Saleen) from his beautiful 2003 Z06 with a small cam and headers, street tires. His best pass was a 12.3x at 115, my best of the day was an 11.48 at 119 IIRC.

You just need more practice and seat time dude. I had an '02 Z06 with a small Futral F11 cam, Vararam intake and Hurst shifter and ran 11.80's on BFG street tires. My car ran 12.40's bone stock...both times the DA was around 800-1000 if I recall. The LS6 likes rpm at launch...and you gotta do a bigger burnout.

Yeah I was on street nt05s and being my first time out it was just learning the car. I'll try more next time out.

New bests from Saturday 5/17/2014. Only change is a 3.31 gear swap, and I was running with a few extra gallons of fuel (about 1/2 tank vs the 1/4 tank I had in the car for my previous best.

The DA on my previous best from last month calculated out to be about +160. The DA on my best ET pass this past Saturday was around +970. Not a big change but it makes a difference. Using generic DA correction factor charts it appears the car picked up around 0.15 in the ET (corrected) with the gear swap. With my 27.2" tires (255/60-15) the car shifts into 4th at 7600rpm just after the stripe. Perfect!

Thanks again to Mike Rousch for getting the tune setup!

Side note: my 1/8th mile speed seems to be up 2-3mph over last season (and over similar setups/times with other cars) but my 1/4 mph hasn't gone up. I'm starting to wonder if it's an anomoly with the track timers at Rock Falls.

Anything else it could be? Consistent 96mph in the 1/8th is pretty strong for the rest of my timeslip I think...
