Too many pics to go,thru, but, isn't that just a ductless AC unit to cool the room?

You don't build a bad ass home theater, without the intentions of letting your meat hang out in there every once in a while.

Killer setup as I've said before Terry!

What I want to happen come next Summer and 100 Deg. plus days is for the HT to be Cool.
And this Summer it was like 80 Deg. in the HT a few times when the outside temp. went to 109 deg.
That week it was plus 100 deg. everyday and the same week it went like 105 and 109 outside.
The existing 3-Ton dual compressor units just could not keep up.
This new Samsung rated at 2-Tons is over-sized to handle just the HT.
So, hopefully in mid summer it will be able to keep the HT temp at a normal level.

Hi Nick,

Thanks for the Post and the HT is pretty darn cool.
(Now to be Cooler) LOL !!!

One of my buddies who owns his own HVAC company has been installing those Samsung units with great results. You will love it. BTW the theater is awesome.

Thanks and I am looking for things now to be the way they should be in the HT with this Samsung installed.

Heat is not a good thing on Electronics at all.
That is another reason I wanted to get this Heat situation under control.

Thanks Guys,
Terry

Good move Terry. A room like yours really needs it's own HVAC for proper function. That big Runco of yours puts out a lot of heat, along with the amps and other electronics. Way too much for a single single house system to handle. I have my room on it's own system and couldn't enjoy it in the summer months without that setup.

Hello Earl,

You are so right.
I have some very Large and Super Efficient 3-Ton HVAC units already.
They are A-OK in most situations with Summer Heat.
But the HT is just all together another story.
When I run the system at High-Volume-Levels which is frequent it does produce a lot of Heat.
Way to much for that one 3-Ton Unit that is trying to cool the upstairs, plus the HT through the zone system.
Once the outside got to 100 degrees and stayed there for days on end that one unit just could not handle the load of both areas.

This Samsung with 2-Tons of cooling I'm confident will get the job done come next summer.

Plus if needed I can also use that 3-Ton unit to some degree.

What I really like is that the Samsung just blends in so well in the HT.
It is mounted high and being flat black you just don't really even see it in the room.

Derrick,

The Samsung is pretty darn quiet.
Is it, (Silent), no.
Is it easy to put up with, (Yes).

Maybe this will give you an idea of how quiet it is.
I have 3-sets of Z-Fans cooling my HT Gear that is Located in the Cubby Hole.
They are temperature controlled and ramp up as needed per the Heat that is produced by the electronics.

That being said, the Samsung is quieter than those cooling fans.

The way I have ended up setting the Samsung is this.
System on Auto.
Fan speeds are on Auto.
Temperature is set at either, 72-73 degrees.

It is working just fine and honestly when I actually am watching a Movie there is No-Way in the World to hear the Samsung.

The HT is, 19 1/2 wide by 23 1/2 long.
Ceiling is I think like 8 feet tall in the center portion as it tilts down on the sides.

I'm looking at the users manual for the Series Number.

http://samsung-minisplit.com/wall-mounted-heat-pumpac/

I think this is my unit it is the Series on my User's Manual for the 2-Ton Unit.

http://ecomfort.com/aqv24nsd-neo-forte-wall-mounted-mini-split-heat-pump-24000-btu-4757.html

Quiet Operation. The aerodinamically designed
"Turbo Fan" minimizes noise from the blade movement.
Thus, even the highest fan speed produces virtually no noise.

Here are a few Pics. of it mounted in my HT.
This is after they were completely done and it is running.

This next pic. is of the wall electronic thermostat for the 3-Ton Unit that is operated with the Zone System.
I have the Temp set at, (75-Deg.).
If you will look at the, (Upper Left Corner) you will see the room temp. is actually, (72-Deg.).
That is where I have the temp. set for the Samsung.
I use the Samsung now for the HT and the 3-Ton HVAC never comes on for the HT anymore.

If I had the same decision to make again now that I know how the Samsung works and how very quiet it is.
(I would have done this a lot sooner)

Here is the Cubby Hole where all the electronics are located that have the 3-Z-Automatic Fans for cooling I spoke of.
The Silver units are Classe' Amps for the Side & Rear JM Lab Utopia Spkrs.
