I have seen some good deals in the parts foroum. But shipping seems to hold up a lot of sales since guys are spread all over. Just a suggestion but when I was on the 4x4 site they had the same issue selling big items like axles,tires ect. So they started a parts transfer section. Where if you need to transport parts or were going on a trip and had room you could post in it. Either what and where to and from you needed a part taken or the dates and destination of your road trip.
For instance I see a guy has some wheels and tires in Florida and I know of guys heading to Florida from Mich on Vacation.
Well just a thought as it sometimes is a long shot but if it helped out a couple guys a month it might be worth it.
