Congrats on the PB! I'm thinking that intake setup looks great and it obviously helped your car. As soon as Mike Rousch has your tune perfected, I might just follow in your footsteps.
Nice times! Do you know what your race weight was? I was thinking that in 460 DA air 118 trap seemed a little low, maybe your car is pretty heavy? Mine with basically just off road x and dyno tune minus passenger seat (loaded premium car) was trapping 115 in 2200 DA air, I would guess my race weight was about 3800. I thought the cobra jet guys were 120+ in good air
I agree, I was hoping for/expecting 120mph traps as well in that air. But my friends who were there had trap speeds that were a little 'off' compared to what they were expecting also so who knows. One of my friends has a new stock automatic C7Z and he ran 10.90s at 125 all day, and he trapped 127 a couple weeks ago in much worse air a couple weeks ago. My car was trapping 11mph slower than his on that day (when I had my stock intake) and on this last trip I was only 7mph slower than him. So I think I did pick up significant trap speed over my stock intake, I'd say a consistent 3mph. I'm going back next Friday to Cedar Falls Raceway to test it out again.
I haven't weighed my car. It's a base car, with only the front sway bar removed and the Racestars that I run at the track, and I pulled the spare tire out.

If you look at your incrementals, your MPH back half is roughly the same as before the CJ. 24MPH.
ET difference on the backhalf is:
CJ - 4.41
Stock - 4.25
The stock intake was run in worse air.
If the timers were moved out, your MPH and ET would be up. If they were moved closer both MPH and ET would be down. We aren't seeing that in the incrementals. I am not saying the timers weren't changed...just some food for thought.
Sticking a g-tech in the car and comparing data to the track clocks would be one way to know. Also, if you have a log to review that may help some too although MPH there will only be as accurate as the tire revs per mile data in the tune.
Are the shift points where they need to be? 7,500+ for each shift is the target.
Also, I don't think that GT500 TB is helping you. My car slowed down when using it and picked back up when I switched to the mono-blade.
The runs this past Saturday were from a totally different track, and without the strong tailwind I had on my previous outing at the other track, so not really apples to apples. My best run with the car ever with the stock manifold was at Rock Falls (where I was this past Saturday) and was an 11.66 at 116.16, in around 700'DA IIRC, I'll try and find the slip later. Typically the car had been running in the 11.70s at 115ish in that kind of air, the 11.66 was kind of a 'halo' run I guess.
Current 1-2 shift is right at 7000, the 2-3 is right at 7500. Hopefully Mike gets it closer to 7500 on the 1-2 shift in a revision.
The OEM GT500 TB came in the 'package' deal I bought with the manifold and the CAI. Used for $1000 total, I thought it was a good investment because I'm sure I could sell it for that if I decide to.
Edit:
I was looking at some other slips from my August 21st outing. Later on in the evening the tailwind died down and even though the DA got a little better (around 2000') the car slowed quite a bit.

nice upgrade- think the car is 60ing a lil soft for your set up- what does mike have the converter locking up at- this has nothing to do with your 60 I was just curious-
my car 60 foots decent but the 1/8 mile is a lil light but then makes up for it on the 2nd half- I still have never sent mike any data logs yet - I maybe road tripping to Maryland in late November to get a few glory passes in after I get my tune worked out , I have gone 11.48 at 118.6 with a 1.57 60 . I may make the switch to e-85 and just have mike send me a whole new tune and then dat log that and work the bugs out- good luck in the next few weeks
Thanks for your input wbt, seriously. Obviously your car runs well and you know what you're doing!
I'm going to run the rest of the season with what I've got now (only 5-6 weeks before the tracks close around here) and see how it goes, maybe make a couple changes over the winter.
Again, thank you!
