what is this connection

Ive pulled the console out to be hydro dipped and saw this grey connector and was wondering what it went to.

I figured it may be for a light on the shifter for automatic cars.

no, thatsin the glovebox and I have it hooked up.

Interesting...will try to use it now...maybe to hook up an LED for the armrest compartment.
