I'm looking at picking up some new wheels and have a wheel fitment question. Will the xxr 521s 18x10 +25 fit all around? I see people doing it with 20s but not so much 18s.
Thanks for the help.

'Fit' is a relative term. The wheels will sit pretty aggressively out, at the edges or past the edges of the fenders. Tires will most likely poke a little. A 275/40-18 should be somewhat OK, but anything wider will poke.

I guess the only reason I was asking is because of it having a 3" lip. I didn't know if that would cause problems with breaks touching the wheel.

The 18's will fit but as said, they stick about 15mm outside the wheel well so you have to have a narrow tire on them in order for the tire to roll back into the wheel well. You'll also need to be careful if you have a real severe drop spring.

My buddy had those on the rear of his 2011 and they did stick out a good amount. No rubbing issues with steeda sport springs however he was only running a 275/40/18(like 25.5")

He said they won't clear the brembos in the front of his, but not sure of front fitment issues on the 05-10 cars

My old 18x10 +24 had a good bit of poke. They stuck out around 20mm or so outside the fender. It bugged the shit out of me so I got rid of them.

These are 521s 20x10.5 +30 all around with 275-35 Nittos. I know you are getting smaller rims but you get the idea.

Got my 18s today. Just threw one on the rear to see how it fits. I like the aggressive offset a lot! +25 offset btw ImageUploadedByTapatalk1398203319.446893.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1398203332.445683.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1398203343.013408.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1398203350.045759.jpg

Got them mounted up yesterday. The fit is awesome! I love the aggressive offset. A 275 tire was a perfect fit.

You know what they say... if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all......

None of the wheels in this thread fit the cars they are on. Wheels/tires that extend beyond the fender coverage don't fit correctly. Is that nice or not nice?

Damn..those wheels look so fucking bad ass. How is the caliper clearance on the front? I wonder if they clear brembos.

Dare to be different. I was sick and tired of seeing the same 3 types of wheels on our cars. I personally prefer the "poke" of these wheels over a flush mount, I think it makes the car look wider and more aggressive. And no rubbing at all.
