Just look at the context.
SOME people crank up baseline pressures to make up for not enough injector on stock systems and we both this happens. The way you said in the first post could lead a newb to think that's what you do to correct a lean condition on a stock fuel system. Why in the hell do you think I made the comments I made? Go look at your post where I replied with the bandaid. In a returnless fuel system, what I said is correct. When I have something on my car that 99% owners don't have on their car, I try to clarify things in order make sure guys don't the wrong ideas on how things are done.

so where do you crank up the base pressure on the stock 5.0 system?

just in case a newb wants to run out to the car and try doing it?

I tried to tell you. Mach1Marauder knows everything and can never be wrong. The guy is an idiot plain and simple.

That's his MO on all of the forums I've ever seen him on. "Everyone is giving misinformation". He's been exiled from more than one forum.

Hey M1M why don't you do what you do best, fetch a broom and sweep PSR's shop floor.

Yep, he's jumped into a couple of threads here lately saying I was wrong in the info I was giving when I know I was 100% correct. I would never give out false info or reply to a thread with info that I was unsure of. Then when he is called out he responds like a 12 year old kid would with dumbass statements like you must be a Democrat. What the hell is that suppossed to mean??? He is a tool who needs to go back into what ever hole he crawled out of.

wow, thats brilliant,

also had a bad o2 extender as well that wasn't reading a/f but thanks for looking

Wouldn't melting the wires or having no/bad connection send the ECU into some sort of limp mode to be safe if it depends so heavily on it's factory widebands? As many safe modes as the new ECU I'm really surprised that was the outcome. What would happen to a completely stock car that has a faulty O2, would it hurt the motor as well?

Damn, too bad our cars aren't still return style fuel systems, we could all run FMU's.

On a serious note, what's "brilliant" to me is thinking that you can just throw whatever timing you want at it, and expect the knock sensors to save your day.

I kinda agree here. The main problem I see in waiting for the knock sensor to save the day is for the sensor to do anything that means it/they detected knock. Problem is it may already be too late. Perhaps the first knock damages the motor and then the knock sensor pulls timing for an already hurt engine??
