My buddy swore up and down he could do the install of my shelby supersnake stripe...said he worked at a vinyl shop back in Florida. Well, he tried. Knew what he was doing but for some reason, that thing came out all creased and air bubbled. Looked like shit.

So to make lemonade, I cut out a couple strips and made hashmarks (for now) and cut out a section and made a rear panel black out. Any other ideas what to do with extra vinyl laying around??

I put my side stripes on flawless, soapy water and squeegie.
Not that hard.

It was a precut set. None of the local vinyl guys would touch it!!

I told the kid that was the problem...he's like "Only beginners use the soapy water". well guess what bud? you fucked my shit up...

lol @ only beginners use soapy water, did he want to spit on it?
I guess he's kicking himself in the ass now.

no dude LOTS AND LOTS of soapy water. The vinyl stripes have adhesive that gets "activated" by the soapy water. Trust me, rather have too much water and slide the stripe around than have it stick and u cant move it!

Sucks though. I just had my stripes painted and they came out so amazing. def worth it.

I paid 1200 to have my bumpers repainted, stripes painted on, and clearcoat...

I sell stripes for a living and I would never attempt to install them without a lot of soap and water. It's the only way to do it. Let me know if your interested in trying again.
