Need help with a Shelby Signature Stencil

Ok so my airbag cover has been sent off for signing but im working on my radiator cover at the moment, painting it with the stripes.

now i want to add a small shelby signature onto the rad cover and then clear coat it.

Or any other suggestions of something shelby branded. maybe the "CS" logo?

But what i need is a way to make a stencil die cut vinyl decal or the likes so I can lay it down and spray the silver then clear coat it....

Ideas? opinions? helpful links?

Going to have to break out the exacto knife and print this on adhesive paper...
cut it out, leaving the template...

lots of bondo, filler primer and a few years of dealing with that shit when i worked for rockford fosgate doing custom audio work....

You really have to spend 99% of your time on prep and just be patient. I primed it 3 times and wetsanded etc.... I havent even done the clear coat yet.

Yours looks gorgeous!! I'm serious, I spent 2 FULL days sanding the texture off my OEM cover and rattle can priming and painting it black........what a freakin mess!!!! I then went and bought some messy paint stripper, and tried it AGAIN!!! DISASTER!!! Tossed it in the trash and bought another OEM one and left it alone!

How much for you to do mine T8, Tungsten Gray?

been there done that haha. You have to sand it smooth then bondo then filler primer and lotssss of sanding.

if you send me a rattle can of t8 paint with it, i can do $100 plus shipping, let me know if you want the pushpin holes filled and which ones... i filled 4 of them on mine....

Are you plastic welding the holes or just bondo them shut? Also, being plastic you should be addind a flex agent to the paint.

I used a think piece of plastic and epoxy'd them shut. then i used regular bondo to fill them. Dont need flex because its only over a small surface area. Then i used a filler primer. Ive bent and twisted (mostly by accident) my cover and it has not shown any signs of cracking. I also used an adhesion promotor as well as initial primer.

The paint is rattle can duplicolor... cant add anything to it.

Do it right and spray it with a gun. If you lived close enough I'd teach you how to properly prep it. But you'd be doing it. I'd just shoot the paint and clear for you lol.. It really is all in the prep work. I did mine too but didn't use bondo. First I scuffed them up a bit, cleaned real well, used adhesion promotor first, then filler primer, and sanded after each coat, sprayed the color, clear, polish and done.

Second picture doesn't show the nice shine it has. I'll have to pop that hood soon and take some updated pics lol.

Rattle can won't give you that shine you want because they don't contain catalysts.

Yeah, rattlecan is just going to ahve to suffice for this project....
