Need moar pictures!!!!

Brother, that is one fine looking machine you've got there! I LOVE the color combo! Damn if I could just afford one of them!

I got my 2011 GT Premium with HID's, rearview camera, 19" wheels/tires and 3.55 gears for $32,900 OTD with USAA's buying service. And that's about the limit of what I can afford in a car right now. Before I told them I wanted USAA pricing, it was going to be $34,900 and had an MSRP of $36,950 before taxes and all that other shit.

Once my kids are out of college, I'll be stepping up to a GT500! Then my 2011 GT can be my DD, which is why I've decided not to mod it much more. Well, that and a lack of funds!

Congrats on the GT500 man. I know you've got to be enjoying the hell out of it compared to the GT!

I always told myself no black cars ever again but who am I kidding, I'm anal enough to keep it clean.

I can't really say the GT500 is better than the GT 5.0 what I can say is it is just a different car. It handles differently, accelerates differently etc.

My GT had a linear acceleration feel to it, each gear felt faster than the previous. The GT500 just pins you to your seat the whole time, and I can only imagine when I do the blower swap here in a few months.

Handling, the GT 5.0 felt nimble, most likely due to less weight on the nose but the GT500 still muscles its way through corners, and I know with the adjustable suspension I'm putting on it, it should more than fix any areas where it lacked confidence. :D

Looks badass dude...and that is one tiny pulley. I can't wait to check it out with the new setup. Are you going to run it as it sits before doing the TVS swap?

How funny, your combo of cars, my wife is looking at a 2012 Race Red GT 5.0 M6 as we speak and I have a Black GT500.

Is she not happy with the Hyundai or does she just have the same bug as you?

the genesis r spec is an awesome car but she misses the grunt of an American v8. That and if you max out a 2.0t genesis youre only looking at low 12s / high 11s at best.

She's into racing? Pretty impressive.

Yeah that is fairly close to my setup. The Shelby is all black, no stripes and is a convertible so you a slightly different combo. But hey great minds think alike :thumb2:

Time to buy new control arms, which ones and why?

BMR Poly/Rod Tubular
Metco Poly-Delrin Combo Billets
UMI Poly/Roto-Joint
Spohn Del-spheres

Looking for a great street car setup that will see the drag strip. I am by no means looking to build an all out drag car.

We'll definitely be twins when I buy racestars, what specs on the tires?
.
Fronts - 17 X 4.5 Racestars Dragstars / M & H Racemaster 4.5 / 26.0 X 17
Rear - 15 X 10 Dragstars / MT ET Streets 28 X 12.5 X 15LT
( rear requires a swaybar relocation kit, BMR & several others have them )
.
If I had it to do over, I would buy Weld, Holeshot, Or MT wheels. The Racestars have an odd-ball lug nut mounting system. If you have to buy the Racestars because of price.....don't buy their lug nuts, as they are known to fail. ( there is a thread on this site with pics of the failures )
................. Buy McGard lug nuts..
.
.................Good luck with the build !!

the mcgards still require the washers right? Wouldn't maybe gorilla gluing them in solve some of the pita issues? :D

I had Weld RT-S on my previous 2011 GT, I loved those wheels, just the fronts are so darn expensive.
