1) what did they do to get the extra 10-15hp

2) what did they do to address the #8 issue and trans

3) someone post pics of the new screaming yellow! =-)

1.) Most likely nothing, probably just re-rated it, as most of the 5.0s were laying down RWHP numbers that normaly convert to about 420bhp. If anything though, probably minor ECU tweaks.

2.) Again most likely nothing, or if anything revised coolant passages, I have seen no evidence of this though.

3.) Look above this post.

Congrats on the new ride, great color choice too, your gonna love the way it pops, soo glad you didn't go with the white. Hopefully the de-modding with allow for some new goodied on the 2013, wonder if they would let you swap over the wheels, if that's even a concideration. Here a picture of my 08 with similar rims, and prior to whipple install. I know it's not the same year by might give you some ideas GLWNC

Wow, can't believe I missed this.

Someone should buy that car whole.

I wish! :highfive: I'm ready to put LT's on the '13 now! The exhaust note on the Coyote's is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better stock than on our 3V's. It growls in factory trim compared to my 3V stock.

Man I disagree. The 5.0s have only two shortfalls compared to the earlier cars - the sound of the exhaust and the rear styling.

Want to practice with mine first?

They sound less burbly and more throaty. I feel the coyote sounds good. This is all due to a new firing order, which is the same as the LSX

Yes, but it is distinctly different sounding 4v (5.0) vs. say a 5.4 or 4.6 DOHC Mod Motor.

Distinctive? Yes. Downfall? No. Hell the sound was the first thing that got my attention when Ford put out the first commercials for the 5.0. You can hear that baby breathin up top.

I don't think the 5.0s sound bad.... but they don't sound nearly as good as the 4.6. I've seen some mean 5.0s but I have never heard one that sounds as good as, for example, this.
