im not into the hole import/racing thing with foreign cars. lol. makes no sense to me, im mainly looking for gas mileage as i will be going to school in plymouth and quincy. living in bridgewater, and working in weymouth..so i deff need something thats nice to drive and good mpg highway... im kinda leaning towards civic beacause of 4 door, it will be alot easier in that to go north in on ski trips i think!

Then don't get the Si. Just get a normal EX or DX. It'll save more gas!

^Exactly, if all you care about is mileage get yourself a Fit :roflmao:

Between the 2 though, the civic will get better mileage and be more fun to drive.

Si Sedan = 2950lbs
Accord V6 = 3410lbs

Thats how

My mustang may have more power, but my WRX is a blast to drive because it weighs 300lbs less.

man this is tuff, really dont wanna get rid of the stang, but i gotta be realistic here and save some mo fucking money!

The Si's are a lot of fun to drive and there is a ton of aftermarket support if you wanna go faster. And you'll save gas doing it compared to the Mustang.

Also, I hear 2005-2008 Corollas are cool, some really awesome people used to drive them.

well thats the thing, i am buying a car that i wouldnt want o mod. i dont like the hole rice scene. i just think a nice stock SI would be good for a DD commuter, enough to have fun in. and good gas mileage.. am i right? or am i dreaming! if i was to ever do any thing to it, prolly lower it. and tint windows.. thats it! thats as far rice as i would go

I think an SI would be a fun DD.

I also think you have the mindset that doing anything to an import is "rice". Billy's old rolla would destroy my car, and it certainly isn't "rice".

You can tastefully mod an import.

But putting on intake on make it scream! All I'm saying is, it's an option. If you want a car you just won't mod and want to do stuff like tint and lowering springs, get a Corolla. It's much harder to mod, you have to customize a lot of engine stuff because nobody makes parts for it. The only parts they do make are the real easy things like intake, exhaust, springs, and whatnot.

I think an SI would be a fun DD.

I feel like any rice gets cancelled out once you make good power. Especially when you have a 2600lbs car with a tad over 300bhp.
