O.K. did a search and found plenty about cleaning the finished outside of the wheel. The insides of mine are horrible and I think the inside of the wheel is just bare aluminum.

I found this product: Amazing Roll Off. Has anyone used this stuff. Is it dumb to pull the wheel off and clean? Mine haven't been cleaned for 20,000 miles and do not look good. Thanks for any feedback on what works guys.

Not dumb at all to pull the wheels to clean the inside. IMO it can make a detail go from nice to damn!
There is just a pretty big difference when the inside and outside of the wheels are cleaned.

Also, as I'm sure you know now, if you keep it maintained...keeping them clean isn't that hard or take much time.

Here's my wheel cleaning routine

IMAG1178.jpg

1. Wash Car
2. Drive a couple miles to strip rust off the rotors
3. Take off all 4 wheels
4. Pressure wash wheels
5. Clean wheels with Sonax Full Effect
6. Rinse off wheels and blow dry
7. Apply 1-2 coats of a wheel sealant (Poorboys Wheel Sealant or SmartWax RimWax)
8. Buff off and re-mount wheels
9 CG G6 on the tires
10. Done! ( For now)

I dust the faces and spokes off every couple days and reach into the inside to dust weekly. Black drifts show brake dust way too easily...

They work man. I like mine.

Definately gonna try the sonax. My wheels are really awful, so anything I do will make them look way better. I do laugh a little that I have a car worth pulling the wheels off to clean! lol

+1! My brembos with stoptech pads definitely make a lot more dust than stock brakes with Hawk HPS's. Not a problem just need to clean it quite frequently.

I can reach in and clean the inside of the wheels with every wash. I based my wheel choice on how easily I could get my hand in there to clean without taking them off.

Sonax full effect wheel cleaner, daytona speed brush

Then for maintenance, soap and water with a daytona speed brush

Seal them good after cleaning, makes maintenance a lot easier.
