Additional question here about the air ride.

What would be the difference between running a bag in the spring location and a shock versus a bagged shock?

Is the fulcrum factor involved, or just different design.

Thanks.

By bagged shock do you mean a shock with a bag in the stock location of the rear shock?

Yes. I have seen the shock with the bag (one piece ) and I don't know what springs, if any.

Just wondering if there was a difference. Thanks.

The bag on shock would eliminate the need for a spring at all. With a bag on shock in the Mustang you have to run a smaller bag so ride quality is not as good.

With an air bag taking place of just the coil spring it allows us to run a larger bag so ride quality is very nice. There really is no performance difference between the two.

Really great questions and answers in this thread. bump for others who havent seen it. I have searched these things a couple times and never ran across this thread. It answered a ton of other questions i didnt even think to ask jeremy. Cant wait to get my car and get the airlift suspension on it. Going to be amazing.

These guys have awesome setups and cars. Jealous!

Is there 2 versions of the bag setup? I see a set with red caps and another without (this is cheaper)

Yes there are 2 versions of the kit. The older version is being discontinued to make way for the newer version. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the old set up, but the new struts are focused more on performance handling and go about 1/2" lower. Let me know if you have any questions!

Are the struts the only difference between the 2 versions?
