Just saw that on Jalopnik last night. Looks like an example of how NOT to do customer service. I had never heard of the company, but it is definitely on my "never buy" list now. $4500+ for wheels that can't take a track day? Really?

That's pretty pathetic of a company like that to deny any responsibility. If everything the customer is saying is true, and he has the screen shots he says he does, then he just needs to take them to court.

That's crappy customer service, especially considering the "track duty" claims and the sheer high price of those wheels. I really hate it for the guy whose wheel failed.

If their wheels are so fragile that supposedly painting them will ruin their durability they shouldn't be in the business in the first place.

He painted them, Plus even if he did powder coat them it wouldnt matter anyway. Coating only requires 400* or below for about 10 minutes to cure, not hot enough or hot long enough to damage wheels.

How about the PR damage, they are fucked, I've seen this on a dozen sites.

What could the damage gphave been, a few grand, I bet if the replaced the wheel and offered to cover half the costs, they would,have gotten kudos. Now they are the dregs of wheel companies.
