Whipple should cover it. I have no idea how many street miles my whipple has, probably around 25K+ miles, + easily over 200 1/8th mile and 1/4 mile passes, and not a single problem

How many passes do you have on the 3.4? 20? How many street miles? I would guess maybe 2K, 3K maybe? Obviously a defective part in my opinion.

yep - that's about right on the money guess. I agree I think this is a defectve blower - especially considering it took a dump without being under any kind of load at all.

As far as the twins debate - there isn't much I can add to SD's explanation - it's right on the money.

Getting from A to B the quickest is what counts... doesn't matter if you can make a zillion peak HP.

All I ask guys is that you respect that I am trying to get this blower taken care of right now from whipple. So it's not really the time to talk about what I want to do, plan to do, or set-ups at this point. As soon as the blower issue is resolved one way or the other - then I'll be thinking and talking about what is in store for the car...

So far, whipple has not called like they said they would but I will try them again on monday.

Well I am willing to give whipple a little time to make it right before passing judgement and you should do the same.

If they take care of this defective blower in a reasonable amount of time, then I will not hold 1 defective part against them at all in any way and neither should anyone else cause shit happens.

I'm waiting to see how they handle it before passing judgement.

Like I said, I'm just trying to deal with whipple right now and then move from there.

I will say this though, IF I was ever to do a turbo set-up, I would only do twin 67's that were watercooled with a big cooler in the passenger compartment...

Mark,

Sorry to read about this. I give you a lot of credit, I have had much more minor set backs on my car and went through the roof. I hope they make things right for you.

Yep - Art himself is assigned to the case so hopefully I'll get some help fairly soon on this.

Sorry to hear about your luck Mark, any signs metal went through the blower and into your engine when the bearing failed? I'd be worried about the metal contamination.

Well called back and Mike said he left Art another message and he should be calling back very soon (that was an hour ago)

I'm starting to get a little PO'd now. Why is it that Art is the only one who can talk to me? Why can't I just send them the blower? So far, I am pretty disappointed with their service. They have not called me back once when they said they would and the four times I've called, I've been told, Art is assigned to your case and he is on the phone. Been getting this since Friday morning.

Must be a hell of a long phone call...:wtf:

Nope - luckily I caught it just when it happened. The no material loss - just the rotors scraping the back of the blower housing. It only ran at idle for maybe a half minute when it took a dump.

Hmm, this sucks Mark. It really sucks breaking your baby, I didn't really understand till I started messing mine up. At least I got a new timing cover today though. I hope Art calls tomorrow.
