First off, bank your money so they can't take it, second you can put it in passive mode so they can't shoot you. You can also create a friends-only or crew-only game from the multiplayer screen while in single player.

This, to enable passive mode hold the back button and go to "enable passive mode" (you must have $100 CASH on you to enable it). I dont think it applies when driving so if you see someone that you feel has intent to kill you just get out. You disable it the same way. You dont really need to do this, just stay away from other players or just play with friends/crew and you'll be fine. Or go on solo.

Be sure to link your console account to your rrock star account, then add a few of us on XBL or PSN and look for us when playing!

I had the 10k in the bank. That's why I didn't lose that. And d bags were so bad they would chase me down before I could make it to the ATM.

Only plus of the night was I played with Baker and had some fun. Nice to actually chat with someone on the board. I'll be on later.

I understand the frustration I was pissed off when starting. I just deposit on my phone when I go to a mission.

It was a good time...my kickass driving skills lol...or lack thereof. I'll be on in a little bit. Don't know if I should work on the site or play GTA...I think a day off from work may be in order lol

Got on for the first time last night. Couldnt find the free garage? Also im not sure if my head set is broken but I could hear anyone talking or couldnt talk to anyone. To you have to be in a party to talk to other live players?

Turns out the free garage is for single player, the online free garage is for special edition copies of the game.

Happened to me once. Now every time I go directly to my phone to deposit it. I never carry any cash.

i didnt try, it gave me 12k for it. not sure what would have happened if I said no.

How do you guys make so much $ online? I've got about 15k from robbing stores and getting 1st place in a race. do you just do the missions around the city over and over?

Can we get together and do a heist or something? this one cool thing I went into and died immediately was like a death match between whoever was online with me and another team, that was pretty awesome.

a lot of people are spamming a mission called violent duct. it pays out 9k and takes 3 minutes.

i havent been able to get into a match thats been playing it yet.

i spend most of my time when i first turn on the system finding one of these cars thats worth around 8500-9k.

lampadati felon is worth 9500. so thats the top goal in my search, but i usually just find a dubsta since they are easy to spot

once i find one of thse and sell it to LS customs, i write down the time or set a timer for 45 minutes.
then you can sell another.

during the time in between im usually doing missions worth around 3k, or i really enjoy rounds of crooked cop.

so far ive saved up 56k and i plan on putting in a few hours later today on ps3 to try to buy the house for 235k


dont bother robbing stores the wanted level isnt worth the 1-2k profit.
if you do, make sure you are wearing a mask that can be bought at vespucci beach


make sure you bank your money immediately. use your cellphone not the ATMs..

and always switch to either michael trevor or franklin before turning off your system, some people have been losing their characters by not doing this
