Right now I have centerforce dfx and stock flywheel. They need to come out due to one of them being out balance. Let's say I plan on running up to 9psi on E85. Car is DD and not raced. However I do have WOT box and I do enjoy some spirited driving. Do I put in my stock clutch and flywheel with 9k on them or do I go after market?

I'd do something better than the stock clutch with that setup, I've heard good things about the exedy mach 400/500 with a stock flywheel.

Running 10 PSI with a Spec 3+ and stock flywheel. Pedal effort is like stock, maybe lighter. The stock clutch at 30,000 miles slipped with the blower. Definitely upgrade the clutch.

Stay away from a "puck" style for street use. I've had good luck with a Spec 3+ in the past. I found the pedal effort to be considerably heavier than stock. But for the cost it handles a lot of power and is a good option.

+2, My exedy out lasted two tr3650 and a Eaton Diff. I only replaced it because I upgrade my trans to a TR6060. I loved the Mach 400, it had OEM fill and handle everything I throw at it.

How do you know that something is out of balance? My first aftermarket clutch was a CF DF. It blew the slave out in 1600 miles. Currently running an Exedy stage one organic. It works very well. I've also had two RSTs and they are the gold standard for high hp in a s197.

History
40k the Centerforce went in and oem resurface flywheel
80K I changed the clutch disc and resurface flywheel use the same pressure plate.
105k I changed the Tranny.

I been fighting vibration and noise since before the 80k. I change gears, driveshaft and Tranny. Other day I got under it and rolled the driveshaft and the noise seems to be coming from bell housing. I also noticed that there is a vibration when the car is sitting at red light. Which makes me think that something is out of balance. Also after thinking about I remember that one of the pin on the flywheel that guide the clutch on was missing last time I pulled it.

At 9-10 psi, I ran my stock clutch with no issues...even drag raced it a fair amount. If you have a stock clutch with only 9K miles on it and don't plan to boost more than 10 psi, I say put it back in and save your money for something else. Stock clutch is also really easy on driveline parts.

I think I have the same problem you do. I have changed the brakes, axles, and moved the pinion angle every angle there is. All after upgrading rear end and exedy 700 with stock flywheel and I feel clutch chatter when in first gear, something like if the clutch is jumping and not catching. Then vibration just after 75 mph. I need to put new tires and wheels because I think I have one wheel way out bent then check the DS for balance. If all that doesn't work then flywheel and new clutch it is.
