Im about to start an engine build process for my bullitt as there was no interest in it when trying to sell...must be fate. Anywho im in west atlanta and looking for anyone local that has done an engine R&R and general experience with pulling our motors apart and timing them. Since i have moved to Georgia I dont know anybody that is mechanically inclined. Not even a person that i would trust handing me the correct wrench. Im 80% sure i could do this project alone but it would be nice having some good knowledge at bay and good company. I have no problem providing beer and food.

Wish I was closer, I'd love to do another 3v build. I did start with a store bought shortblock though so basically all I did was R&R.

What about "DiMora"?
He's in Hotlanta.

I'm about 3 hours away and would be glad to help, but I'm so busy with work right now it'd be minimum 1 month before I could help you. My fee is rather cheap...bologna sammiches with homegrown mater, hot fresh cayenne peppers and a couple Cokes.

ill shoot Dimora a pm...hes in acworth which is only about 45 mins from me. Im not planning on starting till another month. Just started my sourcing and looking at doing a switch to e85 at the same time. might put that on hold as i dont know if i will be "allowed" to shell out another 1500 to go return style. That is a mighty good fee piggy...as thats all ill probably be able to afford during the build lmao.

I asked jeremy his recommendation and he told me its much less hassle to just go return off the bat. Im curious to see what your thoughts are as well

I've never pulled a 3 valve on an S197 but I've pulled and rebuilt my old Eagle Talon's engine trans a number of times, rebuilt the T5 in my SN95, etc..

I don't have a ton of free weekend time, but depending on when you start this project I may be able to lend a hand.

Bruce,

Interesting you'd ask this.
Now my curiosity is up.
I thought to run E85, you had to run a return system.
Is that incorrect?
If so, explain the pros/cons of both systems please.

I just put my thoughts in the thread that was started on the subject.

It's easy. The radiator doesn't even have to come out and the hood can stay on.

Just make sure to have a leveler for the hoist.
