passenger side toe out after bmr k member install PART 2.

So I installed a brand new bmr k member and a set of brand new a arms, I did this after I installed a used bmr k member and arms and found that the passenger side has toe out. Well I STILL HAVE IT! I am out of ideas on what to try next. Could something have happened to the steering rack the first time when I took it out and left the rack hang? I didn't touch the tie rods or anything else. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT!

You still haven't answered whether or not you have enough adjustment to fix it. If so, then I'm not understanding the issue.

Yes it has plenty of adjustment on the tie rods, but then why is the drivers side perfect and the passenger side is so bad? The used k member and a arms have the same problem and the brand new parts do. The person that I bought the used set up from told me that he didn't need any adjustment after the install. So why is my car different?

But I just adjusted it close and took it to an alignment rack. Case closed.

Toe is adjusted by the tie rod ends. Get an alignment, they will adjust and fix your toe problem.

Because there are variations in manufacturing of any item.
Have you ever thought that the variations could be in your chassis?
It seems to me that you have been making a huge deal out of nothing.

But now he has to pay for an alignment! The nerve of those machines and their tolerances.

If only there was a way to correct those differences, like machines that clamp to wheels to measure their positions accurately, and adjustable arms to change the geometry to put things back where they need to be.

Have you called ford to complain about the non-adjustable rear camber on your car yet? I hear they have a fix for it.

I suggest getting the car on an alignment rack, and going from there.

I am not sure why you are having your issue with an old set-up, and the same exact issue with the new system.

I am confident that you will be able to get the car squared away on the alignment rack - as per step 18 on our instructions, "Due to production tolerances, an alignment is recommended after installation"

If you have any questions along the way, I will be here to answer them. It would be good to know the before and after specs when you do get your alignment.

I agree with everyone here. Just get it aligned and move on with your life.

If I changed my whole front suspension to brand new OEM parts, I would expect to still have to align it. All the K-member mounting points, as well as (and especially) the steering rack, have a small amount of adjustment built into them. Anytime you remove them, then reinstall them, or install new, you won't likely get them back in the exact same spot.

Is it possible your car was toed out before you even took it apart? Regardless, it just needs to be aligned. Simple fix.

Yes! The arc in the arms of the rack will push or pull the spindle depends on location before and after install. If the car is straight, no bent frame rails etc, fuck it. Let the built in adjustment for such things do their job.

Can you do me a favor, and post an up close picture of each tie rod?

Like, a clear picture showing the entire tie-rod, including the tie-rod end where it meets the spindle.
