I'm not sure honestly. He's had it for a couple of months I believe.

They went from the 6-speed auto the the 8-speed auto, largely to prep for the ZO6 Since the 6-speed wasnt up to snuff.

2014 auto vettes was a carry over tranny out since 2007. The a8 is a whole new animal, and chevy claims it shifts faster than Porsche PDK tranny.

Hell, the a8 base c7s have already gone 11.3 bone stock, on stock tires far surpassing any a6 or m7 cars. Time will tell how good they actually are.

They had those chambers at the proving grounds in Az too. I remember seeing a car going through humidity testing. It looked like it had just rained inside there.

So just to re-cap what we're seeing here is the Shelby GT350 and the Shelby GT running round the track? Reason I ask is I see what looks like a hood vent on the 2nd car and all the pics i've seen of the Shelby GT don't have a hood vent in the same place but on the sides of the hood. Perhaps just a test mule.

Now Detroit's been and gone, and the awesome lineup of GT350R, Ford GT and the new Raptor have been announced, I was living in hope of a re-designed GT500 or GT500 successor with all this talk of "the next model will be dropping the Shelby name in favour of SVT." Anyone got any inside sources/snippets off the grapevine?
