I call 430-435rwhp with the C&L Racer and Manifold. A car with big cams/high flow heads like that needs an aftermarket intake manifold, big MAF, and a big inlet tube. That 85MM stock Bullitt MAF is one of those few weak links I listed of that car currently.

No, It's a manual. IIRC, it made 280 RWHP stock. Even though it is a big bore stroker, it's still small cubes. A stock Shelby GT500 or 427ci LS7 Z06 only makes 440 RWHP on this dyno.

Like I said, I think there is more power left as it sits and we are hoping for good gains with the intake/CAI.

Fair enough.

What would really interest me is to get manifold vacuum numbers for each intake, it would give a different quantitative result as to how much the intake helps, aside from dyno numbers.

Wow, this is almost exactly the motor I've been thinking about for in the future. Nice to see Livernois is building it now so I can know what to expect if I do decide on a similar setup.

Those pics in the first post sure are "wood" inducing. ;)

If you're interested in the price of all that, here:
Livernois Motorsports 323ci Big Bore Stroker Longblock- 7100
Livernois Motorsports Cam Phaser Limiters-130
Livernois Motorsports Crankshaft Scraper- 100
C&L Intake Manifold- 785 shipped(this is from Bamachips)
Innovators West Damper- 375-450 I'd say
Kooks Longtube Headers and X-Pipe w/ Cats- 1250-1360
Whipple Single Blade Throttle Body- 580
Ram Clutch- about 500
Dynotech 1-Piece Driveshaft- 730
Ford Racing Handling Package- around 1300

The total is between 12,000 and 12,500. Over 15,000 if you include labor if a shop is installing. So you would be in for one heck of a hole in your wallet.

Sure you could go a few thousand or more cheaper by going with less pricey brands/removing some parts from that list, but I'm just giving you an idea on what it would cost to do this exact build.

Crap I didn't think about that. :thud:

But wait, the DESC didn't say it included heads/cams. Maybe Rick will clear this up later.

Wow, that's sure a chunk of change!

The best thing to do for a build like this is to do it slowly piece by piece over the course of a few years. LOL! Actually that's pretty much how I've been doing things anyway.

I already have the alum DS, kooks headers, and will be doing suspension soon as well as cams and 3.90 (most likely) gears soon.

Since you already have the LT's/Driveshaft, you can take off 2,000. I forgot to add 600 for the C&L Racer and SCT X3

It's fairly easy to do it this way, with the largest single expense being the short block, of course you could save 2 grand by simply going with a 298 instead of the 323. The next largest being the heads and cams, ~$3500. The only major issue is that the best cam for the higher compression larger cube motor probably won't be the best cam for the stock short block, but you could probably live with the wrong cam while you saved up for the short block.

By definition, a short block is minus heads. A long block includes the heads.

Well it says "323CI SHORTBLOCK on the item title" so that means no included heads/with or without cams....... :thud:

Damn, I was thinking like 1-2 bajillion HP, but 5!!!! That has to do the Kessel run in less than 12 parsecs!

Bump for an update...

Hopefully soon, we still want to put a full day aside where we can get the most out of it with the stock manifold, then swap the C&L manifold and a few other things all in the same day. We are as busy as ever, all 16 hoists are full, plus there are cars in the aisles... business is booming, and we have some other cars to go on the dyno. The Bullitt is also getting body modifications, so it won't be done by the end of the month. We have several cars ready for dyno that will be done first so they can get out by the end of the month.

Thank you

Rick
