Actually $125.00-$175.00 for base tunes + $200.00 for data logging from Brenspeed is pretty reasonable. The downside however, is Brenspeed only offers data logging with their naturally aspirated e-mail tunes. If your running a F/I application? then your pretty much out of luck as far as data logging is concerned.

$125-$400 for the base tune, plus $200 for datalog.
NO THANKS!

I bought the JLT S3 CAI, tuner + 3-custom tune pkg fm them f/ $592.20 & right now AM sells the same parts/pieces f/ $804. Also, w/ Brenspeed, every time I call, or email...they responded and fixed issues...no questions, or blowing me off.

IMO, you get what you pay for and would you rather go cheap & fight operational issues that ruin your vehicle outings & possibly blow a motor, or invest is some quality/experience to enjoy your ride?

Did you call Brenspeed & discuss your plan...talk solutions/cost? If not, maybe dig deeper & you might be pleased w/ their recommendations + possible lower price.

I sure did, about six times. This was after I bought a Detroit Rocket cam. And the car ran like crap. I had to let it idle for ten minutes before I could back out from garage. I even bought a remote starter to do this. After multiple calls, I was told “ That’s how it is with a SC and cam. “. Oh yeah, I bought the SC, headers, and other parts from them. Then I found out about Lito. Now, it only has to idle about 30-60 seconds. And it runs like a beast.

Brenspeed has a F/I tune for the 2005-2010 for $400. Plus $200.
Lito was $200. $50 more for the E85 tune. Which is AWESOME!

The main reason I don't care for Brenspeed is a certain member here who used to own a Bullitt and spent tens of thousands of dollars with Brenspeed. I wouldn't touch anything that he was associated with.

I’d like to add one more thing.
The reason I went with the Detroit Rocker cam from Brenspeed was two fold. One, I had previously bought the Edelbrock supercharger and Kooks headers from them, and the tunes were included. Two, I wanted the rumbling sound that the video clip from Brenspeed’s site had. But not only could I not back the car out of the garage for 10 minutes without it dying, I didn’t even get the sound of the cam promised. So $700 for the cam, $200 for the remote starter, and nothing. Plus, there was a short in the Edelbrock wiring harness. I was promised a replacement from Brenspeed, but that never came. Hours were spent tracking it down and fixing it. Here are clips of the exhaust sound. One is Brenspeed. One is Lito. The difference is obvious and much more pronounced in person. Both are at 700 rpm.

Brenspeed does not offer remote datalog tuning for their F/I e-mail calibrations. They only offer remote tuning (data logging) for their N/A e-mail tunes.

I also used to have a Brenspeed F/I tune for my Saleen VI S/C and had nothing but problems with it. Their customer service also sucks as well. Needless to say, since making the switch over to JDM engineering, my tunes have been spot on with no issues.

Your right!! So $400 for a canned tune? No Thanks!
If they offered data logging (remote tuning) along with the canned tune? then I wouldn't have a problem with it, but being as they don't offer it, I went and made the switch from Brenspeed over to JDM engineering and have had no regrets since. I also wasn't treated as a valued customer from Doug who's one of the sales reps for Brenspeed which was also a contributing factor for making the switch over to JDM as well.

Doug was the one who promised me a replacement wiring harness that never materialized.

Yes. But you can use Bootcamp to install Windows on your Apple laptop. Very easy. I did it to my Mac and use my daughter’s laptop for actual datalog.

When it comes to Doug, it doesn't really surprise me in the least bit lol. At any rate, I'm sorry to say that Brenspeed has become more concerned over the years about their status as media celebrities than what it was back in the day when Brent first started up his business as a one-man operation for which he valued providing excellent customer service to his customers in both a personal and courteous manner, but unfortunately those days have been long gone as profits from sales marketing and from media endorsements are far more important than providing customer service for those responsible for putting Brenspeed on the map in the first place!

hmm ok i am confused

Lito is from Venezuela which is the reason his website is in both Spanish and English.

The strange part is why he had to lie about the harness.
I may have talked to him in person when I picked up the supercharger kit. I think it was him, but I really don’t remember. Anyway, at that time I was warned that Edelbrock makes crappy harnesses and they have had problems with them before. So it’s not like my phone call was out of the ordinary. My harness problems happened 18 months after I installed the kit. I would have paid for the damn thing to get my car running right. Instead, they lost a customer, and Lito gained one.
