Great, another old guy with a S197. :happythumbs: We need some young blood. I think they've all moved on to FB.

Seriously, nice car. I assume the vid is good too.

Welcome.

Need to go with taller wheels.. Recommend 245/45 on those 19's. I believe that rim is 8 1/2 so that should fit well.

I have the same wheels and find the taller tire fits and looks better in the wheel well. 255's work better on a 9" wheel.

Why would you remove the shaker? Was it not plumbed to the air intake?
I know they don’t do much of anything for performance, but man they look cooler than any other hood/scoop out there.

Its fake, not even a real shaker. I wish it was real.... Im wondering if the car had one at some point and someone removed it, as the hood has a big hole in it. But this scoop is kinda ugly and fake :(

So, are you meaning it’s not a Super shaker? Good luck finding one of those!

And that scoop looks exactly like any shaker scoop looks. It just needs a good cleaning and the finish treated with a good product.

Not sure what it is, but its fake and ugly, Pics: 1 of a real shaker, and two of the thing on my hood.2005_Shaker_Small__86668.1327090203.jpg IMG_4241.jpg IMG_4229.jpg

That looks like they may have used a 03/04 Mach 1 shaker and tried to make it work on the S197. It sits way too high.

Here’s how it should look. This is mine, the Classic Design Concepts shaker assembly. I did modify it some what.
