heading to edgewater tommorow!!

well im gunna go to edgewater friday june 5th... last time i ran there i went 13.85 @106 i know i can do alot better than that but was my first time so im gunna try and nail down my launches!! well since then ive added a 4.30 gear so any guesses on what the car should run?


c&l racer intake,bama 93 race tune,steeda udp's,jba axlebacks,4.30 gear,manual trans,stock tires,eibach sportline springs.

What kinda of tire?

I would say a low low 13's on a normal street tire, 12's on a mickey 17 drag radial

Can't tell you, what ever the track will hold, for sure you will have to ride that thing out

well heres my results from friday my best run was a 13.54 at 105.18


this was with my stock tires at 32psi... im happy with this but also not happy lol... its alot faster than my last time i ran the car went from 13.85 to 13.54 with just a 4.30 gear swap as the only change!! but now im gunna focus on getting some drag radials and lower control arms to try and dial it in with the current set up...

You are just spinning your wheels, literally, w/ street tires.

Drag radials worth at LEAST .5

Adam I was there, I think I saw your car run. I was driving the Vista Blue GT with flamed cowl hood (I was running with the slick cars). Street tires are painful at the track especially Edgewater on a test and tune night. They do little to no prep and traction always sucks. You should try a UMTR event there (its prepped all day), you can look on umtr.com for info. I will be there on 6/13. Stop and say hello, my name is Dale.

I went straight to slicks, have only been a couple of times since I got them but I AM TOTALY PLEASED. I scared myself when I let them down to 12 psi and the car got a little "wobbly" near the end of the run (1/8 mile). Went straight back to 14 psi. I used to have a helluva spin going into 2nd, but not anymore..........lol

hey dale i saw ur beast run lol ur cars awesome man!! ill have to check out that website because i know theres more in the car but i think to get it im gunna have to have a set of drag radials or slicks,and a better track.... next time i see ur car ill come say hey!

Where do you guys run? UMTR is an Ohio/Michingan thing isn't it? I ran with UMTR at Quaker City Raceway a few weeks ago.

You ran UMTR North division, there is a south division. They run at Edgewater,Muncie,Thornhill. They prep the track decently for events, T&T prep sucks.

Yeah, I run with the North division guys. There is another event in August at Quaker I'll run and maybe one at Thompson and/or National Trail.
