Thats the life of travel these days.................................

At least air travel.............................

And travel on a Friday............................

Suck it up you'll get here when you get here

Spoken by a guy who has been screwed flying so often I can't keep track anymore

exactly why I don't fly anywhere if I can drive instead!

Thanks to everyone who attended. We had a good showing considering the weather. It was hot, I hope the Port-a-cool fan we bought helped get rid of the heat ionside the shop some.

We had some great numbers come up from some impressive cars.

I'll post some pics up later of the day's activities.

On a side note, Justin...........I got an X-pipe deal for you!!!!!!!

Joe, I'm actually just gonna do LT's and go with an O/R H or X. I'm gonna try to deal with either you or Cody on this but need to keep my limits below 900. I also showed the guy who did the install when I got back in town as we were chilling up at his shop...LMAO! He said he'd go up to his shop this morning and fix it for me...manifolds...2"...1" bend...2"...then stock piping!!! I'll wait for the LT's and have Doug adjust it for me!

No problem bro! I'm glad ya liked the 4.10's! IMO, they really do throw ya in the seat...especially after the new tune!!

I'm actually gonna go ahead and throw the money out there for some headers and a mid pipe. Depending on the deal I can get I'm thinking Kooks or Stainless Works. I spoke with Joe a bit on it and he's gonna talk to Cody about it.

Man, I'm not gonna lie...your car is loud...really freaking loud! You should really think about putting some mufflers on there!

I was gonna PM you but I'll just type it here. Right now I have full CHE Suspension and a spydershaft.

- Adj. Upper Control Arm
- Tubular Lower Control Arms (Will be going with Adj. Lowers later)
- Anti-Squat Brackets (Steeda's has more adjustability/CHE is fine for you)
- Adj. Panhard Bar
- Panhard Brace
- DS Loop
- Spydershaft

Since I'm a vert I can't utilize the CHE Axle Brace as I have rear subframes that come stock on the verts. I could use the K-Member brace w/ torque limiters but thats mainly needed for manuals to contribute to shifting. So, I have CHE Full Rear End Suspension. Of course all thats missing are Tokico's, a rear swaybar, k member, and caster camber plates for me. I already have the front swaybar delete but haven't installed it yet. I need to find out if my car will have to be re-aligned or the caster/camber adjusted in any way or at least the bumpsteer.

Phil, I am sorry you feel this way. The Dyno day went as smoothly as it could have for what we had car wise.

Let me address some of your concerns about the Day:

First off, it was posted that Doug would be here for 3 days ( Aug 17-19) No where did I say he or I would be tuning on all 3 days. This trip was a Leisure trip for Doug, that we turned into Dyno day. It was misrepresented that he would be tuning for 3 days, when the intention was to only do this on Sat.
Friday was a closed session for My customers cars, not the 10 Folks who signed up throughout the Month this was posted.
I have 18 People call, PM or email for a space for them to get a tune. 8 of which backed out in a reasonable manner (not last minute)

Now on Friday we did My in house customers cars and called it a day so Me, Doug and Cody could go and relax and hang out and chat.

No one got a confirmed time slot, I though all knew or were told that Sat. would be a First come First serve on the Dyno. I though All knew by the cars waiting in the Parking lot, an Hour Before we were to Begin. I got to the shop at 8AM to clean up and move some things around in my day, there were already 6 people in the parking lot and all had the order in which they had arrived for their turn on the dyno.

The Shelby was a difficult car to tune, I fought with it for an entire day to get everything as close to perfect. Doug spent alot of time on Driveability as that is what the customer was paying for!

The heat did not help, but we all know this is Houston in the Summer. I tried to make everyone as comfortable as possiable by providing Cold Drinks, Plenty of Fans as Well as The fact I went out and Bought a new Port-A-Cool Fan that seemed to help alot! Food Was Delivered as well as some more cold drinks and our conference room was open to anyone wanting to get out the heat and humidity for a place to catch some cold A/C and food. You have to remember that we ( Doug, Cody and I) were out in the heat as well, and working.

When you showed up you were somewhere towards the bottom of the list. The Black cobra that you speak of was there at 8:15 AM and was 3rd in line for the Dyno day. No one got special treatment, and I mean No One. All were treated the same.

As for the increase in Pricing, It was $200 for N/A Cars and $250 for FI cars, some were more due to the amount of work that went into tuning them and fixing mechanical problems so they could be tuned. No these prices were for Dougs Tuning, Which is cheap considering alot of us that tune cars get in the range of $400+ for a Dyno tune. The extra $50 Add'd to everyones price was for Dyno time, This money went to our shop, we made only this on the dyno day, and the use of the A/F O2's that are not cheap but are needed for complete Accuracy! Our A/F Meter on the Dyno even started acting weird, so we replaced it with a new one as well as a new Sensor. We went through a total of 4 sensors that day on tuning these cars.

We did the best we could with what we had, and for the most part everyone has either called, emailed or pm'd me, Cody and Doug that they all had a great time and were very thankful for getting to meet Doug as well as have the chance in the morning for a short session to ask Doug any and all Questions they had.

We were done with all the cars by 8 PM after taking a 1hour Lunch break for Doug, Cody and myself to catch a breather and some food. At 8pm, we had an unexpected customer come in with an '03 Cobra that heard about the Dyno day late and came by to see if he could get in and we happily got to work on his car and fixed some mechanical problems as well as got the tuning sorted out. The owner of this car went for a test drive and come back with some words that made our days. This car had been tuned by and fixed by several other shops here in the Houston area as well as some out of town with non of the issues resolved. Between Doug, Cody and I we were able to get this Gentleman's car running smoothly and according to him, the best it has ever run since the day he bought it.

I know non of this makes up for your Experience, but in all fairness, Everyone else seem to understand what was going on and had no problem waiting their turn. The second car on the list drive from Cut-Off , La. for a tune and was more than happy to wait the small amount of time to get his car tuned. After the 2 FI cars were done, the N/A cars went quickly and swiftly.

I also understand that no matter what is done, you can't please everyone. I do want to say I am sorry for your troubles that you had, and next time we have Doug down here, I'll make sure to get you first in line!

Hey Joe,now your showing favortism toward him.
In my opinion Everything went pretty good for the dynoday, you explained everything to me about prices and first come first serve basis even before i left the house Friday, It's his fault if he couldn,t ask questions.
As far as the heat, like you said a couple times me and my wife went sit in the confrence room to cool off even in the shop after you picked up the porta-cool it was comfortable.
So after it was over you ended up with 9 satisfied customers and 1 unsatisfied I would say it was a pretty good day.
Noone forced him to come late at that.
