Did ford do away with the remote shifter? This will make or break my decision on my new purchase im about to pull the trigger on :beer:. I might have to go auto if they did lol.

car shifts smooth, no problems , feels way better than the older version.
goes right into gear every time, you really have to mess up to miss a gear with it, not a big fan of the skip shift though, but if you rev it up a bit it wont put you in 4th

The skip shift is not in/on the shifter, it's in the trans.

so its not similar to the ones one the C5 vettes. im not to familiar with it all i know is it can basically make you shift first to fourth or something like that

You wont notice it! As complicated as it looks the shifting is very smooth!
Im such a gear jammer, it would be hard for me to go auto, the 09 is the first brand new mustang I bought out of the twelve or so I have owned and this is one of the most disapointing ones to me so far, 5000 miles and the tranny/driveshaft sounds like something is about to grenade lol. I really miss my foxbody days when I was banging second gear with my tires still in the air almost to the sixty foot mark:thumb:
