..

Feel free to post all about your car in the Pitstop.

The Pitstop is where you are going to have your threads about your car. Post anything and everything in here.

What are your plans with the car?

We don't have a general vehicle section here unfortunately.

I like the new challenger and so does my wife I wish they would have made a Cuda. I'm glad to see the pony wars again. Keeps the guys at Ford busy making the mustang better.

The Mustang and Challenger are the only real vision to come out of Detroit in the last decade or better.
Even though both are retros of older designs they dont look like every other car on the road aka Accord and Camry.

Welcome to Stang Land.
Just dont Dis us and we will TRY not to Dis you.
It gonna be hard though being a Chrysler dude....

Welcome again

thanks again guys...it was actually the 05 stang that really sparked my interest in modern muscle (i've always been a fan of muscle cars and never thought i'd get to live through it like my dad did). speaking of the original muscle car wars...i got a 73 road runner that was my dad's that he bought new when he got home from vietnam...i'm working on making that car live up to its nameplate...its only got a dinky 318 in there now. a 318 in 1973 was very neutered! i'll attach a pic of that too for those interested...

we wouldnt have a modern muscle car war if it wasnt for the 05 stang...funny how history repeats itself...

I love the Challenger, the only things that turn me off is the weight and price. Other than that they are sexy!

Anyways welcome, nice to have some friendly competition!

ok, sounds good.

my plans mods wise i listed earlier, but i plan on trying to make it to the strip once a month or so, just on test and tune nights to have a good time. my main plan is to get the power to the ground. the tires suck, the wheel hop sucks so im addressing those first, then power related mods. most of the time i'll just be cruisin the streets and going to car shows.

Welcome aboard! I am a Challenger fan as well.If it ever comes down to me being forced into a 4dr I'll probably go with the Charger SRT8 in black of course.

My best friend has a Challenger, and I don't hate him now. LoL You came in here with the right attitude as well, so I guess I won't hate on you either. :highfive:

I almost bought a Challenger instead of my '11 GT. The Challenger looks amazing, is pretty quick, and is VERY comfortable. If I were to choose one car to drive across the country in, it would be a Challenger.

But, I wanted stronger aftermarket support. Also, although the Challenger handles better than most of the cars on the road, I felt the Mustang handled better. And I'm into autocrossing and stuff, so I wanted handling over straight-line speed.

Nice car and welcome to the 'hood!

Dude, there is a guy in our area that I see driving an orange Challenger R/T that sounds just evil and looks sinister lowered just a bit with a great looking wheel/tire set. I drool every time that car goes by. I agree that the Challenger best captures the look and feel of the 70 model almost dead on. I wish Chrysler could figure out how to do a '69 Charger with those beautiful shoulders. Oh god I would have to have one. Frankly, the Challenger was second on my list for a daily driver, but I ended up with a 2011 Mustang because they gave me a hell of a price. Welcome aboard and you have a beautiful car!

thanks guys for the welcome...

here are some pics of the big gal...

in case anyone was wondering of mods, well i dont have any done at the moment except for a catch can and an Amsoil air filter, but here is a list of things that i have lined up for it after i get some baseline runs this spring at stock power with the rear suspension kit so i dont blow the rear up wheel hopping :):

-"hopnot" rear susupension kit to eliminate the terrible wheel hop experienced in the 6 speeds and reduce body roll
-predator tuner (eventually to get at least an email tune if not a dyno tune)
-180 degree thermostat
-modified stock airbox (removing intake baffle)
-CAI using an SRT chin spoiler brake duct opening
-MBRP cat back
-real performance tires (the stock RSAs are garbage for straight line acceleration and too skinny)

oh and for those wondering, i'm from pittsburgh pa
welcome to the site...that first pic of your car in the street light is sick as hell man... I love it.

wow, you guys are much nicer than the camaro guys lol!

thank you all again for the nice comments. i agree with the cornering ability...DEFINITELY not the car for autocrossing lol. i actually do some autocrossing with my 90 civic and the guys there always ask why i dont bring my challenger...i know better :). it does handle good for a 2 ton car though. i'm focusing my efforts into making it a decent straight line car. i'm not a full on drag racer or anything and i know its not the best starting platform for full on drag racing because of its weight, but there have been guys getting into the 12s in an R/T with some minor bolt-ons and tire change (first thing that needs done on these cars). i'm starting off with that suspension kit to get the power i have now down to the ground without going up in smoke or hopping like a basketball before i start adding power. its not an easy car to launch! i envy the solid rears in your cars for that aspect...
