Nice car...Sorry about the retarded question but what is the steering mod? What all needed to be changed?

Theres a thread I think in the picture thread ref'd as Drifting pictures and I think theres a thread in the road racnig section for drifting too.. it's basically cutting a piece of the knuckle out and reweld.. i'll post some pictures in the next day or so when we did this. And it's a small piece..less than an inch out..
And it couldn't have turned out any better, steering responce is great and a ton more angle. Which i'll post all the pictures of it in a few days. Nothing is rubbing or anything i have about another 2 inches before rubbing or anything. And thats with the brake cooling kit i have still in and 255/40/17 " tires on the car.

Besides weakening the spindle is there any other cons?

I didn't post the pictures of the actual piece because I was going to wait for the person who made these for me to join and explain what he did. But in any case, the spindle is not weaker at all but has been reinforced after doing the modifications. This topic has been covered in the past because someone else had done the same thing, nothing has been made weaker but in fact, a lot stronger.

Ive been drifting on mine for about a year now. And I have been very rough on them.. Ive even driven off course and over cones and all sorts of stuff..

At one point I bent a tie rod.. but, the knuckles are still fine..

As long as whoever did his knows how to weld and put a little thought into the design then they should be fine..

also, be wary of the harness that runs along the inner fender on the passenger side.. your car will eat it now :)

That looks considerably stronger than how it was previously. I wouldn't have a problem trusting it.

Yeah I know all about the harness lol. We haven't taken anything out or cut any more than what was shown. Waiting to get spacers which will add to the angle even more.. but for now, since it was more for road racing and to have fun with the drifting for now until I get more into it... i won't be taking much out of it.

And pictures for the Cobra, he just joined the site and will be putting up a thread i'm sure as well as chiming in this one within the next couple days. His name on here is Rhythm Drift
