    Stock bottom hp capabilities

So if I want to increase the strength/reliability of my lower end in preparation for a SC capable of 500+ hp, forged connecting rods should be all I really need? I wouldn’t go crazy, I’m thinking that 500 rwhp range, maybe up to 650 but unlikely.

FRPP Intake manifold - What is it made of?

So… can it be painted successfully?

FRPP Intake manifold - What is it made of?

The idea of putting this intake manifold, cams and a 62 mm throttlebody on my 3V has been bouncing around inside my spacious head. Right now I have a nice blue Plenum cover over the OEM intake manifold. This would not fit over the FRPP manifold and why would I want to? It already looks pretty...

    Strut Tower Brace (with Supercharger)

Thanks for that link. I see a couple pictures on there showing it with a Rousch SC as well. I’ve heard lowering engine mounts will help as well and doesn’t seem to be too intensive of a project. https://www.americanmuscle.com/bmr-adjust-motor-mounts-1516.html

    Detailing Questions-Answered

I picked up my 08 SGT, Vista Blue, last winter, it sat in the garage until spring. This car had been ceramic’d just before I got it, probably last fall. It looked / looks amazing. Other than washing, should I be treating this with anything, should I wax over that or just keep it clean? I have...

Ford Racing CAI on my 2008 SGT - should I upgrade to a JLT?

Got my mods done and started on the Lito tune. Honestly I was a little underwhelm at the difference the 4:10s and aluminum driveshaft made for the butt dyno. The car definitely rode smoother though but I also had Billstone shocks installed. The place that mounted my new tires a while back told...

Steeda Underdrive Pulleys - What does the kit include?

Very helpful. Thank you for the clarification.

Steeda Underdrive Pulleys - What does the kit include?

I've looked and can't find anywhere what it is exactly that I would be getting. From reading here and elsewhere it seems I would get a pulley for the water pump and for the alternator. 2 pulleys. Steeda's website shows the UDP kit and then also below that it shows related products which is the...

Ford Racing CAI on my 2008 SGT - should I upgrade to a JLT?

Realizing that I’ll get low gains, the BBK shorties are more decorative than anything. Plus they only cost me about $75 using some points I had. It still leaves me in a position that I can do the LTHs, I wasn’t sure if I could incorporate my existing X pipe. Sounds like custom work which I’m not...

Ford Racing CAI on my 2008 SGT - should I upgrade to a JLT?

Until now, my 2008 5 speed Shelby GT with 39K has been bone stock mechanically. Next week I’ll be changing out a few things - 4:10s replacing the 3:55s, aluminum drive shaft, BBK Tune Length shorty headers and Bilstein rear shocks. I also got the Shelby rear differential cover though that’s...

    Finally got GT500 rims on

That's an excellent upgrade. They are proving to be very difficult to locate. I might end up going with the Boss 302 Wheels if I can't get my hands on the GT500 SVT wheels.

    Finally got GT500 rims on

Beautiful! I think those are at the top of my list for my 08 Shelby GT. I wouldn’t even have to change the center caps! (Though some still may cause me of being a wannabe) What did you have before? Standard 17x8 with 235s? Is there much of a difference in the ride?

Could it be as simple as needing a new battery?

Couldn’t read the labels to see a date code, most everything is faded or worn off strangely enough. There are no punches or etches. Car has 36,800 miles. I’ll grab a new battery tomorrow. My fear, and main reasoning for going out and starting it, was mice. Bastages don’t need to get in there...
