    Time Trial/Solo Sprint setups.

Hi guys, for those of you that run in Time Trial/Solosprint, what kind of setup do you have? I have: Supension: Steeda Springs (200lb/in, 175lb/in), Koni Yellow single adj., Strano bars, adj phb, lca, uca, (all rod ends). Brakes: SS lines, DTC-70/60s, cooling ducts. Power: Not much, just a...

    2011 ESP Project update...

Very interesting, has there been a write up about a 5.0/Boss 302 swap into early S197s?

Slightly lowered. Will LCA relocation brackets hurt handling?

What do the grand-am cup cars do? They're still running 3-link, right?

    2011 ESP Project update...

Regarding update/backdate rules, could I then theoretically swap a new 5.0 BOSS 302 motor into my 2007 GT? Would I have to adapt the electric power steering? Or could I run a manual rack for ESP?

    Enkei RPF1 offset????

Unfortunately, I do not believe they will, I tested the brake template with my RPF1s, and they don't appear to fit. Caliper clearance issue. I have seen the PF01s fit though.

    fat tires and daily drivers

285/30/18 all around, I don't drive it to work everyday, just occasional "milk runs" :) Tramlining is pretty bad, but I love the traction. Keep a firm grip on the wheel with both hands, like the racing manual says.

Track guru's need help with brake fluid

I actually was told that my speed bleeders were dangerous and would fail, I was also told by the same person that my steering knuckles would break when I ran r-compounds......:whistling:

Track guru's need help with brake fluid

Have you guys tried speed bleeders? When there's no one around to help, the speed bleeders are amazing! +1 on ATE SuperBlue/Type 200, excellent value brake fluid. I have no idea about the clutch fluid. I can tell you that I have about 8 hours of track time on my car, still on factory clutch fluid.

    Rear axle vent catch can?

After much nagging, I had the little bladder thing from TSB 10-03-07 installed on my car. It still bleeds fluid on track days though. My question is this: Is it possible to lose enough fluid that it causes damage to the rear diff?

    Race Seat and Harness Mounting

Understood, cars can be replaced, my body can't, so I don't plan on cheaping out for proper safety equipment. I have now gotten word that for my local timed events, starting in the 2012 season, a HANS type device will be mandatory. Do they require a special type of shoulder harness?

    Race Seat and Harness Mounting

Right on, what diameter washers did you use for the drilled locations? I see some cars have what appears to be 2"x2" squares on the underside of the body.

    Race Seat and Harness Mounting

Interesting, thanks for the pictures you guys. PCDRJ, did you mount both anti-submarine belts to the same point? And I suppose you mounted the right side lap belt to where the seat belt buckle would originally bolt in? I see that you used the original bolting location on the left side. Having...

    Race Seat and Harness Mounting

Hmm, not a bad idea. I suppose I would still have to modify this bracket? I am a shorty (5'8"), and tend to sit with the stock seat rather close, kind of like those guys in the Mustang Challenge cars.

    Race Seat and Harness Mounting

For those you with racing seats, what did you guys use as a mounting solution? I recently bought a OMP WRC racing seat, with side mount brackets. I believe that the Sparco floor bracket will work, but here's the thing: I have a track day on the 27th, and shipping to Canada is slow as all hell...
