Update:
CC does not work at all. Lights work fine. Oddly, Dynavin only recognized audio controls with either one of two settings; with the lights on or off. Otherwise anytime you want it to recognize the controls the lights need to be turned off or on and reprogrammed on either setting through...
Im having the same issue as you. Sometimes the controls work and sometimes they don't. So not sure how people are getting this to work properly. At least with a Dynavin Pro 8.
The way I wired it, I de-pinned the 1242 and put one into my factory harness. Looks factory and nice, but with all...
Generally you could put a rag into the check plug to check the condition of the fluid. If you cant get any fluid on it, you might wanna just flush it as its low anyways.
Here's an update on the gauge faceplate with an alterative transparent colored film. Now matches my red LED interior set up. I'll be updating my guide very soon.
The very least I need to know what kind of SMDs these are so I can research them. Never worked with smaller chips like these. I see they have a little dot towards one end which might indicate that side is positive. Thanks!
Bit late to the party but made this video when I was putting a cheap ass chinese kit into mine. Needless to say I'd look into a dealership quality kit as these dont nearly heat up as good as something factory.
The EPAS will fit on an 05-09 Subframe, however, a small section of the frame needs to be cut to fit the rack properly. Instead of dealing with all that, I just went ahead and put a BMR K-Member on paired up with a '13 EPAS.
I ended up just purchasing the harness unfortunately...Casey makes a...
Which in this case the two can bus signals are the twisted cables into the PCM on the passenger side, I've seen the dude in the vid do it into the ABS and I thought that was odd because...if traction control is turned off, does that then turn the EPAS off or is it a constant signal. I'm not good...
I still just don't understand how a small kit like that costs 330 dollars lol...
Guess you're paying for the "plug in play" "convenience" "clean" look. But god damn...I could just buy a used harness for 100 and strip what I need from it. I will say it does look nice, it sure is tempting.
gotcha, I’m still sticken with the 4.6 and plan on for the remainder of its life, which is one reason why I wanted to do this conversion for apart of the cool factor as well as freeing up some power and space. I’ll just hit up my yard and tell them to pull the harness. Thanks for helping me with...
Sorry I just woke up I understand now Lol. I figured what I'm going to do is just replace my battery terminal harness with what was to be WC96240.
Long as if I know the WC96223 will work as a direct battery cable replacement I'm solid. I'm doing something very similar to this dudes here maybe...
Don't make much sense to me when the manuals had EPAS as well, so the two plugs are not included in part WC96223? The reason I'm going the harness route is it is a much cleaner job than the above video you mentioned and not only that the fuse for it is already built into the terminals. I am...
Grabbed a 17" EPAS from a 2012 V6. Harness wise Im having a hard time trying to get ahold of part number WC96240 as I would expect since the harness is dated. I can however get WC96223.
WC96240 is for Autos while WC96223 is for MT82's. So for what I need it to do shouldn't matter I'd imagine...
