    '08 GT 5-sp trans leak

    I will almost bet it is the shift shaft seal. Just went through this myself. I changed the output seal and it kept leaking. Finally changed the shift shaft seal and it fixed it. You will need a good pick and patience to remove it. Use a socket to put it back on. And Ford couldn't get one...

    Vortech fuel pump booster question.

    Anybody know if you are supposed to up the amperage of the fuel pump fuse when you install this? I know on a kb BAP you do but the instructions don’t say a word about it for the vortech.

    I used the 1/4 inch it called for. Feels great. Ran it at the track the same night and drove it all weekend. No issues.

    So I did the math and got it to exactly 1 inch and the trans wont go flush against the block. Gonna take some shim out I guess.

    Just getting conflicting opinions on this. Was told by Mcleod to compress the slave and do the measurements. And Everyone else says to leave it be. I am going to try with the spacers I have and see what happens measuring with it left alone after all Mcleod did tell me no need for a shim to begin...

    So I got 3 3/8 and 2 5/8= 3/4 So I would need a 1/4 spacer to make it 1 inch correct? Also when the pressure plate is torqued the fingers set down in the pressure plate so you can't get a straight edge on them. Does that sound right?

    Yea that may do it lol. One last question. When I measure the preload do I compress the tob until it bottoms out to measure from it to the bellhousing? I read on one post to remove the spring so it will bottom out???

    Damn that doesn't help my confidence lol. I have pulled this trans 3 times so I guess it isn't a big deal. Luckily I am a tech for Chrysler so I have a lift I can use.

    I don't have a RST or RXT. I have there street series. Its good for 550-600 I believe. I had a 3v in the past with a Vortech that never gave any issues with a Spec stage 2 making 520hp.
