2005-2009 E-Brake or Parking Brake boot install?

Here is a picture of the two boots installed. Again, do not recommend these at all.

    05 - 09 Door Panels

Finally got the door panels done. Added red stiched shift and parking brake boots to go along with the red trim. Sorry about the blur...will replace it.

2005-2009 E-Brake or Parking Brake boot install?

Well....I managed to get both boots installed. The shift boot was far more difficult than I expected due to how the cheap boot I got was cut. Required several modifications to get it to fit, so I do not recommend going cheap. The shift boot turned-out to be very easy, but is really too large...

2005-2009 E-Brake or Parking Brake boot install?

Well...I did purchase a shift & parking brake boot set off of ebay. Have pretty good success with the shift boot, going to be a bit tight/difficult getting the boot around the frame...but I think I will be able to. Now the parking brake boot is a completely different story. Have not come-up...

2005-2009 E-Brake or Parking Brake boot install?

Has anyone replaced the OEM rubber grommet (for lack of a better description) that the E- parking brake lever goes through? The rubber is all torn-up, most of it missing and I see these matching synthetic leather with red sticking shift and e-brake boots for the 05-09 Mustangs on ebay. Would...

    '08 GT 5-sp trans leak

Update #2: had one droplet hanging off the tail housing, just below the output shaft. Removed the driveshaft from the output flange and expecting to get a nice dribble of trans fluid out...I got nothing...all dry. Put the driveshaft back on. My only guess is that I tore the output flange seal...

    '08 GT 5-sp trans leak

Thought I would update this thread.... Replaced the output shaft seal and the output flange nut seal. Followed the instructions above to get the flange on, removed the nut, then put the seal on and torqued it to 105 ft-lb. Put driveshaft back on, took for a short drive, got under it and no...

Broken spark plug in head procedure.

I had just assumed that the 4.6L and 5.4L heads were different....no idea how many 3V engines there are that this tool can be used on. Using the shorter tip of the two was correct as the porcelain was pushed to the end..and I made sure I did not bottom-out the pusher when I did this. The...

    05 - 09 Door Panels

Very True....cannot get all the glue off.....I just got it all smooth....no way to remove all the "spots". Would have to paint it at the very least...or live with "spots".... I used a very sharp knife to clean the edges and my wood chisels. Now of course I have to spend a day re-sharping the...

Broken spark plug in head procedure.

The Lisle 65600 tool arrived this afternoon; read through the instructions, seemed straightforward, although there were two parts not referenced in the instructions. After using the pusher, then went to the puller. After 4-5 tries...just was not working...puller pulled out. Kept looking into...

Broken spark plug in head procedure.

I have already used a shop vac on all plug holes. No tool yet...but good idea to scope the cylinder after I get the broken plug out.

    05 - 09 Door Panels

I have the door panels down to the plastic...all that foam & old glue are gone. Sanded, sanded, sanded to get everything smooth as I was going to use the thin material inserts before deciding to go with the plastic inserts.

    Intake Cover??

If this Mustang were mine I would get it clean, well, it would never have gotten this dirty in the first place. But this is the daughter's and she just does not have the time or drive to clean the engine bay. I am not going to clean it either, waste of my energy. When it goes back to her, she...

Broken spark plug in head procedure.

Yep, old style heads with the black boots. The seller I purchased the plug extractor, Lisle 65600, has yet to ship it out; was hoping it would have been shipped yesterday. So I thought I would try to use the engine to blow it out. Pulled fuel pump relay, cranked engine over.....nope, still...
