That's because the gen 3 blocks are not sleeved. Gens 1 and 2 have sleeved bores.
You are implying the gen 3 is significantly stronger than 1 and 2. Not so.
Absolutely not almost the same car.
Will there be a run on them? The 13-14 cars are holding their value quite well. The 11-12 cars are quite desirable now as well. Check Carmax, etc. They buy as many as they can get. The common reasoning seems to be that the 11-14 GT is overall a superior car...
Yeah, NO.
The car needs to placed on a drive-on lift, like an alignment lift for example, and the car bounced up and down by someone while a tech underneath listens and inspects for the source. Anything else is just guessing.
It works. And yes, the whole thing moves until it pops free. Don't pull/push it enough to bend it and you will be fine. Been doing it that way since 91 and don't own any special tool. Any tech will tell you the same.
You don't need any tool. Take the nut off and rock the part closest to it up and down with your hand. It will come off. Might take a minute or two. I know this because unfortunately I'm a professional and have done this many, many times.
