Interesting window sticker. Does anyone know where or even if Ford stuck the copy of the assembly line information (almost a copy of the window sticker) on the 2006 Mustangs???
I remember 'back in the day' some companies stuck the line sheet in the rear seat springs. Another place (that didn't...
Edit: My 4.0 has a front sway bar also. And I missed the 'Pioneer' on the info screen surround in that pic, but that looks like a neat addition to the Mustang (I don't listen to the radio at all). Is that a difficult install???
Yes, mine has all those. I just never noticed the TCS button. Never had a car/SUV with TCS.
Still learning this car. Lots of other stuff I don't know about it, I'm sure. Still not sure if automatic is 5-speed or 4 or 6... :(
Yes! Thank you for pointing that out! ;)
But I do not have that info screen between the phone charger and the climate control system. I have a Shaker 500 sound system instead. Is that info screen part of the OEM Pony Package???
I also have a 2006 Mustang 4.0L V6. It has the Pony Package, but I don't see any traction control buttons/levers/controls.
Where does your Mustang show the 'traction control' control (Disable/Enable)?
The box to 'Turn Ignition Off Then On' was in a YouTube video. After the read & clear buttons and the 'Are You Sure' message. I don't get that box. I have four DTC codes, all pertaining to cylinder head overtemperature, but that's a question for another forum. ;)
And it is a surreal ride! You can actually hear the two individual cylinders firing. Shakes and shudders, lurches ahead at maybe five mph, the suddenly fires all four cylinders for about fifty yards, then back to two-banging. It did shut down completely and I let it coast to the curb and sit for...
I agree. My Mustang is a 2006; two years before my 2008 Escape. But for the benefit of 2008 and later Mustangs who may have a similar Fail-Safe Mode, here is a scan from my 2008 Escape Owners manual on this subject -
My 2008 Escape blew off the upper rad hose and I had to drive 3.6 miles home on Fail-Safe Mode.
I wondered if my 2006 Mustang 4.0L V6 has this also. I looked in my Owners Manual and there is this message - "What You Should About Fail Safe Cooling - (4.6L V8 Engine Only". Nothing about the 4.0L...
My '06 4.0 V6 w/auto trans seems 'peppier' with OD off compared to engaged. Is there a second 'map' for each mode???
I know there is a 'limp-home' mode, but this is definitely not it. The car just seems to accelerate more 'crisply' with OD off.
I've always thought that the OD Off switch just...
Thank you for your reply! I didn't notice I was in the wrong forum. :(
Anyway...My 06 4.0 V6 was down to 1/2 tank yesterday, I put $15.00 of Regular in it and after about $13.50 the hose shut off. I was hesitant about the remaining gas owed me but I was able to squeeze (repeatedly) the rest of...
I just had both my rear calipers replaced w/remans. I bought a complete F&R set of Hawk Street pads. Both rear pucks were frozen beyond movement. Ran $390 at my local mech, including flush/bleed. I did the fronts myself, all four pucks moved without any effort.
My reason for replacing pads was...
