Ac compressor clutch came apart and damaged supercharger tensioner bracket

2014 128k miles, i thought i would have had more warning, it was fine one day then this the next. I know the compressor eventually goes bad but it taking out my bracket was the worst part, I found I can get it but it’s $300 and 4 to 6 weeks to get it.

Ac compressor clutch came apart and damaged supercharger tensioner bracket

My ac compressor clutch appears to have grenaded and looks like it did damage to my supercharger tensioner bracket. Ac worked fine the day before blew cold air then quit working, found melted clutch debris but what disturbed me was it looks like it did damage to my supercharger tensioner...

    Cooling fan failure

Update, I got the car home got a better look at it and the connector was not burnt. What looked like a white burn mark on the wire was actually dirt and poor lighting. I appreciate the replies, they are helpful. When the fan did fail the ac not working was the first thing I noticed and while...

    Cooling fan failure

Seems like you had better luck than me, when I replaced the fan the first time I replaced the pigtail because it was burned up. The pigtail was heavier duty than stock, larger gauge wire. I thought I would get a longer life out of it. I have debated treating it like an airplane high time item...

    Cooling fan failure

My cooling fan on my 2014 Mustang just failed, burned the connector. The first fan made it to 70k miles and now that the car has 128k the 2nd fan failed. Like clockwork almost 70k miles later. I am wondering if there is some design flaw or am I working it too hard and need to upgrade. I have...

    Rear main seal installation tool.

I’ve seen that tool but it typically only says it supports the 4.6 2 and 3 valve as well as the 5.4. I know the coyote has a different crank and rear main seal. I wasn’t sure if it would work on the coyote. Also my coyote didn’t have a slinger and I bought the car new in 2013 so I know it...

    Rear main seal installation tool.

Is there a special tool needed to install the rear main seal? The reason I ask is because unlike other engines I’ve worked on there didn’t seem to be a spot where the seal would drive into and seat. I replaced the seal guessed on the depth, used a small socket to make sure it was the same...

    door panel armrest

I am wondering is the door panel armrest replaceable without having to replace the entire door panel? If so where can I source the part, my driver side door armrest plastic support has broken, my door panels are in good shape. My car is a 2014 Base model GT with black interior. I am...

2014 Used GT, how to make exhaust quieter and retune

This would be a good option if the car is too loud. I have OEM mufflers on my car and I think they sound decent.

IS the Coyote engine rebuildable or does the block need to be replaced?

The reason being is I don't have 100K for a Tesla, I don't even consider them in the same class of car. My 2014 is payed off I have no payments, I do the work myself so maintenance costs are next to nothing. I know I will never have the fastest out there, but the stage 3 roush will get the car...

IS the Coyote engine rebuildable or does the block need to be replaced?

My 2014 has the roush phase 1 supercharger advertised at 575hp at the flywheel, dynoed 500 at the wheels with 432ft tq. I have run several different tires and non of them stick on the street. I have yet to run it with stability control off because it becomes unusable. Currently I have...

IS the Coyote engine rebuildable or does the block need to be replaced?

For me it's hard to justify tearing apart a good engine to swap it with something better. I have restored a truck and what I like is that when you get into replacing engines and trans you get to decide what you want. What do you want it to do, what parts do you want. I have really thought...
