    Rear differential clunk question

I just got everything back together. The upper bushings look pretty good and no movement with pry bar. The drive shaft moving freely in and out but I can't feel any rotational slop at all at the slip joint. It just seems the noise I hear is the 3/8 rotation the pinion flange has with all the...

    Rear differential clunk question

I get a slight clunk from forward reverse and letting on and off throttle. I get a solid clunk when taking a slow 90 turn or into a parking lot when it down shifts into second. I have a 7 sec video just can't post it. I have cover off and pretty much spider backlash. The ring gear can go about...

    Rear differential clunk question

I'm chasing a rear end clunk in my 05 Gt rear-end. I have the cover off and see a bit of play between my ring housing and the inner gears thru the clutch pack and spider gears. Plus it doesn't take much to turn one wheel with car in park and other wheel wedged. Is my clutch pack bad? I have a...

Overdrive: How to use correctly. (MT guys do not read!)

I also have a TCI shifter and how do you have the handle work with a button in it. My OD button is located on the base of the TCI shifter. Not very convienient. I would like the button on the handle.

    Shock Advice needed

I have rousch on the front because that's what the car came with front and rear. The rear were not bad but not too composed on my roads. Front seems pretty good. It was the rear that bothered me. These D specs are so much better at about 75% softest setting on my rough roads. Fun to turn up the...

If you want adjustable and use as a daily driver I still highly recommend the D-spec shocks. ESPECIALLY since you can get a brand new pair for $20 a piece as mentioned above. Adjusting the DSpec changes comp and rebound.

I tried, Rousch, Bilstein, and Koni Yellow adjustable. I...

    D spec shock issue maybe?

Norm. Thanks for the chart. I always like data. I have a lever setup to cycle the shocks with pretty good force and decent speed. At the same weight on my lever the d spec traveled twice as far as the koni and Roush. But when I pull up which is then by hand on the lever if feels about twice and...

    D spec shock issue maybe?

The resistance to push down as quickly and as hard as I can is a lot easier to push down then The Roush and Koni I have. And from snug to 7 turns out there really is like zero difference on compression or rebound. The koni would feel pretty quick to return pulling up to the point I couldn't pull...

    D spec shock issue maybe?

They are pretty easy to change but I'd like to easily return if something is wrong with them. Since the compression seems a lot less then the Roush I took off and once compressed they very very slowly return to full extension. I just don't feel like they are working. The box is brittle and...

    D spec shock issue maybe?

I do have a jig I have set up at home from back when I would work on motorcycle shocks. Mount the bottom and then mount the top to a long arm. At the end of the long arm I would attach different weights and see how long it would take to bottom out. Or just simply push up and down on the long arm...

    D spec shock issue maybe?

I have an 05 gt that I'm trying to get the rear suspension just right The car came with Roush shocks. Seemed ok but just a little soft particularly on little g out dips. I bought a set of koni yellow. Seemed ok but still a little soft on compression even compared to Roush. Plenty of rebound...

05 GT Rear suspension advice for compliance and sway feeling

This is a good thought. I had this same feeling but to a much worse extent when the rear wheel bearing went bad on my SUV. I haven't noticed any odd sounds or loose feelings as I have done brake pads and put wheels on and off but I wasn't looking for problems either. Ill need to jack up and look...
