I had idle issues with my 12 auto with and without my lt's. Got really bad after the jlt CAI. I changed tuners and now no issues.

My new CAI has seemed to solve the tip-in stalling issue and recovery issue so far and it isn't even remapped for the 123mm maf vs the 110mm maf I had on it.

To the OP. Has this been handled? Have you made contact with Lund in any way since 9-7? I can't imaging that they have not attempted to rectify this yet. I know Ken is super busy on this end here in Florida but still handles all of his work load.

Never had to do this and my car idles and runs fine and has done so for the past 2+ years. Adaptive learning should take care of it.

I left adaptive learning turned on in my tune and my car never adapted, it had a lot of stalling issues when I first did the long tubes. I think some strategies adapt well and some do not unfortunately I was one of the ones that did not adapt. I have since then modified the o2 transport delay to rectify the issue at idle and my car idles smooth like stock. I still have adaptive learning turned on in my tune but I don't think it does much for my car lol.

That is weird. What strategy are you using?

My car has FXB7 strategy flashed on it.

Danner gets his shit from lund

Are you saying that Lund supplies open mako file tunes?

Danner doesnt use SCT to tune.

What does he use?

Neither does lund or any good tuner. ALOT of people use lunds base files including danner

Base files? Is that the same as value files? Lund makes his own value files from scratch?

what does he use?

Ditto

Hmmmm. Ok... i heard quite a different story but all is good

What did you hear and from where? If you can post the information you should have no problem posting the source. Especially when it's something that could potentially affect someone's reputation.

That is pure fabrication on your part.

I'm sure you know that your tune needs to be adjusted. Have you checked how far the fuel trims are off? If you ever end up in open loop it will go lean.

It's quite possible that you had an air leak with the other cai.

It has been adjusted by Lund for the new CAI
It was still 40% lean across the board even on the adjustment for the new size CAI.
He has adjusted it now.
The main thing Lund thinks fixed my issue is the new CAI has a screen inside the filter where it mates up to the tube and he said it's likely cleaning up the signal to the maf sensor better.

I wonder if the strategies that are CA emissions compliant are the ones that have problems with adaptive learning?

Different computer codes react differently to tuning. YGK computer codes suck.
