So anyone who has seen my last 2 posts have seen I had to get new rims and a new panhard bar due to my accident. Now i am pretty sure i also have a bent axle. I have a slight squeak when ever hitting the brakes and or turn just slightly right. I just replaced my brakes pads and rotors, yes i did put grease on the slides. I used ceramic pads. (idk if that helps) the dust covers are clean and not rubbing. so the only thing i am see on here is that it could bent axle on driver side. or do you guys have other ideas?

Jack the wheel up off the ground, put it in neutral and spin it while laying a straight edge against the tire or wheel. If the axle is bent you should be able to detect a wobble in the wheel.

One day in my '08, I started hearing metal on metal "contact" only when applying the brakes. Turns out, I bent an axle. Service tech at my dealership told me it happens all the time and it doesn't take much. I had installed LCA's and new springs a couple of days before I noticed it. Hadn't hit or ran over anything, but there's a part of one of the freeways out here that has some pretty serious dips and hills. Only thing I could think of that would've caused it. Axles are cheap. Replace both and move on.

I posted this exact damn thing in both your threads with no reply.
Exact symptoms I had, most of the aftermarket axles have issues outside of mosler and maybe strange, I had a set of ten that were horrible, unless your making over 500hp just stick with OEM. I would also get the housing checked out.

Kinda like when a friend asks you for advice, and they're like "ah, yeah that makes so much sense, thanks." and then they turn around and do the opposite. :pcwhack:

So damn frustrating.

Hello,
When I bought my car two years ago, the car had a slightly bent axle shaft (half shaft). The previous owner had to hit something.. So I went bought the Richmond axle shaft kit from Rockauto and replace it. Everything was good until last few days I start noticing squicking noise again - only 6000 miles from change.. So I put the car on lift and I disassembled wheel and rotor and measured flange runout and the shaft is bent again.
I never hit anything, but here are some terrible roads and I have the H&R coilover kit, so the ride is very stiff..

I think the problem is simply the poor quality of the Richmond axle shaft. My qiuestion is, which manufacturer provides better quality? Will be axle from DANA better choice?

The situation is more complicated for me, because for some suppliers, the price of transport to Europe is many times higher than the price of the part itself. That's why I'm still considering DANA from Rockauto.
