I sold my 2014 TrkPak and bought a 19 PP1/A10, it was a base but sticker was $46 and I bought it for $36 in June of 19 which is $10k more than what I sold the 14 for.
I had modified the suspension and had an AED tune and on the road there is nothing I wouldn’t challenge to a 10/15 mile jaunt pushing the TrkPak to 2 or three times the posted limit on turns…it was a great canyon carver but was just too ruff to drive around town, yes it was my fault for making the mods and it suffered in ride quality, but she was a fantastic looking car!
My 19 isn’t the same canyon carver but the ride is great and the 6 piston Brembos are so much better that the 4 piston on my 14, and with 15” discs they really get the job done in a hurry.
Before the pandemic hit I spent a full day at the drag strip…I started at 12.50’s and by the end of the day was rewarded with a few 11.9’s @ 117 and that’s with a 1.98 60’ time…just the way I bought it off the show room floor and only running 91.
Is the 19 a better Mustang than my 14, it’s much faster in the 1/4, but much slower as a canyon carver, but the car feels more planted than the 14 and takes less driver input when pushed hard. I’ve since changed tire sizes to 265/40’s in front and 285/40’s in the rear, put on FPP X pipe in place of the 31lb resonator and am about ready to install the FPP CAI/TB.
When I took the Myst in for its 10k mile service the Sales Manager came out to me and after some talking offered me $39,768 for my Mustang just the way it sits, that’s $3,768 more than I paid in 19, and I told him if he’d give me $45k trade in on the Mach 1 I’d do it, but he declined my offer.
Now is a really bad time for buyers of Mustangs, wait until the end of the year when housing prices take a dip, and my guess they’ll be offering discounts although interest rates will be a little higher.
