Update: Received camera and tested it (just plugged it into the OEM harness)...the quality was slightly better but not worth the cost so I've returned it. I have had the same Dynavin with a backup camera which worked great but that one I ran all new wiring. I suspect the limitation is the OEM wiring harness and/or the connection I made. At this point, it's good enough and I don't think I'll pursue it any further.

I'd be suspecting the splitter as the graininess seems more like a signal issue than a resolution issue.

100% the splitter. because prior to splitting, I definitely didn't have that crazy bad graininess. Is it possible to split without that level of degradation?

Do you really need or want the video on both the head unit and the mirror? I'd toss the splitter and just use one or the other. Just my thoughts on it.

I've ordered a new camera which should arrive Sunday. I'll post back once I have it installed and comment on the quality vs the OEM camera in my spoiler now.
I have a 14 year old aftermarket rear view mirror screen and camera that came on my 2012 pony. Lately the picture has become fuzzy and out of focus. I tried a new camera but it would not work. Apparently there are 2 different internal voltages for cameras 3 volt and 5 volt and that is provided by a voltage regulator on the harness. China manufacturers refuse to state what voltage their cameras use they just say it runs on 12 volts. Mine is a 3 volt I believe and I can't find another. Does anyone know of a 3 volt camera that I can buy? I know all systems are made for 12 volts but cameras don't use that voltage. I really don't want to run all new wiring if I can avoid it.
