    I am guessing you haven't disconnected the fuse box receptacle to the fan housing assembly connection. You better check that connection while you replace the fan.     I swapped out the Borla Stingers for the Borla Touring. And went over the entire exhaust tightening up all the clamps. The pic of the quickjack was at the lower setting when I took the pic. I raised it to the max height when I went over the entire system.

    I just plug into my console aux port tethered to my phone and hit aux on the dash and listen to my YouTube audio favorites or play my Sirius XM radio via my phone app when on road trips. Win Win over the plain FM stations with no modifications.

    Have you checked your receptacle that plugs into the fan assembly. If you are having fan assembly overheat issues, this plug in receptacle would show signs of heat stress or worst case, melting. This harness leads to the fuse box relays.

    Ha! Don't get me wrong. I admire the power, technology and aggressive style and the new styles are fun to watch and look at. It's just not the car I would purchase, even if it had 200+ more HP. Mine makes me smile and has plenty of usable HP for what I need and it's paid for.

    I loved my 07 Redfire 427R. It had a blueish tint compared to the candy-apple red, which looked more like ketchup. Loved that color, available from 2005 to 2007. (Code G2) The car really stands out when seen on the road.

    No matter what year is decided on that car, I would not purchase 2009 spare parts for that car. That is a 2010 Body style with the 2010 interior & tail design. Buying "some" 2009 parts for replacement would most likely get you the wrong part.
