Is there anybody that knows of a set of cats that won't eat themselves on these cars that are supercharged? I don't like my car as much without them... the exhaust is way too raspy and it has a sort of rice-y sounding buzz to it now when it is not warmed up all the way. My AFRs are aging crazy...

There was nothing in the pipes...we removed the tubes.... must've gotten blown out. Didn't have the stock cats long enough... no issues from those. Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk

It was already determined a while back that they needed to come out... but I just got off work, and nothing will be open for me to get it done until maybe wednesday, unfortunately.

Nope... already been eliminated from the possibilities. I've burned up 3 of them in a 6 month period, on one bank. It's definately a cat.

Kenne Bell recommends 50W Valvoline Synthetic. That's what I've always ran in mine, even drained and replaced the blue dyed stuff that came with the kit.

Isn't this the same reason a lot of track only cars run vacuum pumps anyways? Not saying that he needs one, but it's been done before, I'm sure. For this, and to run PCV systems as well.

Would it be a big enough chunk of substrate, when it's only halfway inside the cat? Surely not? I don't know for sure... won't know until i pull the cats off and look... but wow... exhaust flows that hard and fast, in that short of a space?

I dont think it was blunt force damage though FDJ... definately would have looked different, don't ya think? What could have hit it HARD enough?

I think it may be time to install those Bassani test pipes I've had collecting dust.

The car already has a Bassani X with Bassani's high flow cats. I have the test pipes around here somewhere... but I know I'll need a tune. I seriously don't think it's actually PHYSICAL damage... hence the reason for the photo... maybe someone can look and tell.

After getting gas yesterday, the car sat for a while. After getting in after work and letting it warm up by driving around a bit, I got on it pretty good. Boost gauge jumped up to its regular 10.5, 11 psi, and about a second or 2 into boost in second gear, I heard a really loud POP. Thinking...
