STEEDA HEAVY DUTY CAMBER /CASTER PLATES TROUBLES

My upper strut mount nuts loosened on my Steeda upper strut mounts a couple weeks after I installed them, made a loud clunking noise whenever I went over bumps. Did you check the torque on everything like 86GT351 said? Did you get in touch with Steeda? They've got good tech support, helped...

I want to make my car a little quieter...

Yeah the interesting thing is the 127400's are supposed to give you more midrange, but the FRPP intake shifts everything to higher RPMs, so it becomes a pretty linear power curve. I overlaid it with my first dyno run (just the CAI and tune), and in the low/mid there were almost no gains, it was...

I want to make my car a little quieter...

I went back looking for a thread when I got it dyno'd...can't find it anywhere. Anyway, had to double check, the dyno was before I got my T56 Magnum, so driveline would've been: - Steeda underdrive pulley - Stock flywheel - McCleod Street Pro clutch - Stock TR3650 - Steeda tapered...

I want to make my car a little quieter...

Here's my setup now (sorta...engine's getting new cams (comp cams 127450) and going back to the stock intake manifold w/ the engine rebuild) CAI, Ford Racing Intake, Comp Cams 127400, JBA LT's, Kooks Green Cats, Vibrant Resonators, Borla Touring mufflers

I want to make my car a little quieter...

OEM cats? Are the CMS camps NSR? I had a pretty similar setup (aftermarket cams, basically the same CAI, long tubes, JBA catted H-pipe (not emissions legal as it turns out), and stock GT mufflers). Definietly no resonance, but when I'd get on it, it'd get LOUD and harsh, reminded me of...

I want to make my car a little quieter...

I had the same problem when I went long tubes and high flow cats w/ the stock GT mufflers. I ended up putting in high flow cats (Kooks Green cats), resonators (Vibrant brand, but can't tell you the exact model), and Borla touring mufflers. Much quieter setup, especially at highway speed, but...

How do I make 400whp in an 06 GT?

You should check out Four Eyes on youtube, he's doing a series where he took a hist stock '06 GT and upgraded it in stages, with his N/A setup being in the neighborhood of what Dallas posted and makes ~ 410 RHWP. It's a pretty good series, it really shows how much $$$ you can put into an N/A...

Might be go big or go home time on my '06

Been a little overdue for an update. Engine shop finally got the engine torn down, got a list of parts together and sent me an invoice for the next $$$ installment so they can order them. The parts list is growing (as is the bill... surprise) Total list now includes: Comp Cams XFI SPR...

    Gauge located

Yup, I did a Google image search, they went pretty literal. I think you're probably going to have to make something with a single DIN radio dash mount and a universal gauge panel

Add fog lights: tap in location?

I haven't done fog lights, but on Saleen's HID headlights, that's where they have you tap for positive power to their relay harness.

    Gauge located

Found a listing for a car that has "Evolution sport -gauge panel" listed https://www.parkplaceltd.com/vehicle-details/used-2005-ford-mustang-gt--full-metal-jacket--by-h-r-1ZVFT82H055185225 You might also be able to get a single din dash kit and a universal gauge panel and make something work

Thanks! I'll check ATI out :thumb2: The BMR mounts look pretty similar to the Steeda mounts I have now. The concern the shop has w/ the steeda ones is as soon as you take the bolt out, the bottom of the mount just falls into the K-member. Which I definitley remember having to deal with...

    GT Strut tower brace fit

I don't remember there being a Ford STB for the 05-09, I know it wasn't an option for my 06. Ford was all about how much better the structural rigidity was on the S197's than the SN95's so they didn't think it needed it. That said, it's been a looooong time since I thought about it

Was talking with the shop about some things, we're probably looking at a new set of motor mounts and a new harmonic balancer. Right now it's a UDP, so it'd end up underdriving the blower. I mentioned I still have the stocker in a box in my garage, but they said I should think about getting a...

Sorry been kinda silent on this for the last month almost . Had been going back and forth w/ the shop on quotes and finally settled on it. Going w/ the forged rebuild w/ Comp Cams 127450's (blower cams) while staying N/A this year. Shop tells me the cam will run fine, it might have a little more...

Finally got the quote back for the rebuild, the number's right in line with where I thought it'd be (their top of the head figure + inflation). Strongly leaning this way. They'd get started on it in January, so I might have the car back by end of March/April timeframe. Wanted to get a couple...
