What have you done to your mustang today?

Passed the 3 month mark last week, no mustang. On the plus side, I've gotten a lot more time on the bikes. Between the bikes and my wifes MS3, it kind of scratches the itch of not having the V8 manual but it's not quite the same. Man, I'm really starting to consider picking up another car to...

    What if Motor Swap

Are the wiring harness mostly plug-n-play now? When I was looking into it a couple years ago I was reading a lot about things like the instrument cluster not working properly. Depending on your budget, you could look for a Voodoo Gen 2 (the 5.2L out of the GT350, 2019 - 2020). I've heard the...

    Help needed, a little urgent

I could count on one hand the number of times I've ever needed to take mine apart, but I get where you're coming from in your reasoning. Do you still have all the original tabs that broke off? I've never had success gluing tabs back on (always break of again as soon as you try to put stuff back...

    Help needed, a little urgent

Couple dots of super glue might do the trick. Enough to hold it but little enough that you could manually crack it loose if you had to get back in there

What have you done to your mustang today?

Been in contact with shop #2 on my car -- they want to go back to stock and start over. Quick recap -- after getting the supercharger installed and 800 miles of driving, a couple of the emissions tests weren't completing. Shop #1 that did the install did the initial tuning, but after some...

    Help identifying adjustable coils

On the Steeda's (probably the same with the Eibachs), a 1/2 ton Harbor Freight aluminum racing jack should still fit under it. I got a DeWalt low profile jack and that fits under no problem too https://www.lowes.com/pd/DEWALT-Yellow-3-Ton-Steel-Hydraulic-Floor-Jack/5015305059 Always wondered...

    Help identifying adjustable coils

Oh I'm misremembering - Sport springs are 1" drop in the front ,1.25" drop in the rear. Steeda also makes Ultralite springs which are 1.25" drop in the front, 1.5" in the rear And they also have Street K springs which are 0.5" drop front, 1.4" drop in the rear (these are ford racing brand)...

    Help identifying adjustable coils

Lots of people have that combo of 255 up front and 275 in the rear with no issues, but it might also depend on the offset of the wheels. I've got 19x10's in the rear with a +48mm offset and have no issues running 285's. As far as pics go, Steeda's sport springs drop the car 0.25" in the front...

Maybe it's this guy? I got a hit with the "118973" + 2007 Mustang coil over suspension https://www.ebay.com/itm/266806006993 Only difference I can see is yours are all red, vs some black on the ebay version Edit --- I don't know why I was thinking yours were all red -- these look pretty much...

I may not have as much tech background as some of the other guys here, but I can be a pretty decent parts monkey from time to time

'06 Mustang Lumbar Replacement Part - Can "6R3Z-6365500-A" be replaced with "6R3Z-6365500-B"?

Supposedly this place has one: https://parts.lincolnheights.com/p/Ford_2025_Mustang/Support---Seat-Back---Lumbar/140101692/6R3Z-6365500-A.html I see a couple results where 6R3Z-6365500-B supersedes "ar3z6365500a" which matches "6R3Z-6365500-A" with an extra "A" at the beginning. Tasca also...

    HELP. Flagged by BAR Nazi's.

You sure that Roush Stage 3 cars didn't come with the factory airbox? I was arguing with Google AI and while it was shaky at best citing things like "check the installation manual, it says to retain the factory airbox" and "the open air filter was an optional upgrade that included a PCM flash"...

What have you done to your mustang today?

I was so close to getting one of those in green right around COVID too, great lookin bike :thumb2: Amazes me the cheap speed you can get with a bike TBH. The Sabre woulda done the 1/4 in low 12's back when it was new, but of course having it run good enough to hit that now is a big ask. Part...

Finally doing Hot Rod cams just for fun

Replace them while you're in there for sure! This happened to my stock followers with a set of comp cams 127400's. My shop reused the originals which probably had 80k on them at the time of the swap. They lasted about another 30k before this happened on a high rpm pull

What have you done to your mustang today?

Lol, It's a 1982 so right in that era. Just slightly older than me, but was my dad's so had it around since 1st grade. Great bike to ride, V4 powerband is fat from 3500 all the way to 10k RPM and really easy handling

What have you done to your mustang today?

As for me, haven't seen my car in a month and a half while the tuner figures out why emissions checks won't complete. Right now they think it's a problem with the rear o2's not sending any signal. I told them I wasn't getting any readings on them when I dropped it off but they still tried...

What have you done to your mustang today?

How do you like them? Mine are nice and quiet at 60mph but the resonance at idle was HORRIBLE with my long tubes. I had some resonators put in which helped but it wasn't till I got the centri that it finally got better. Still pretty bassy at idle but not nearly as bad as it was.

    Thoughts on a Miss fire

Regarding the 14% at idle, the throttle has to be open even a little bit at idle. I haven't had my car for the last month so can't go out and check, but pulling up a data log I did back in April, my throttle pos readings were roughly 12% at idle after the car was fully warmed up. I have the...

What have you done to your mustang today?

Could be worse, don't see Could be worse (Inca gold on the 2010). I've seen Legend Lime look good before, just like Tungsten it has to be clean and have a deep gloss to it (and even then looks it's best when it's not mid-day). If you do some clay bar, maybe some polishing it'd probably do it...

What have you done to your mustang today?

Nope, there's probably a module hiding in the trunk somewhere. It was a pretty popular mod back in the day (WebElectric was the most popular one?)
