07 GT Motor Into an 05 Body

I’m the one who gave that advice. The pin outs at the fuse box connector and how the pcm gets power is different. He tried to use the 07 engine harness

05 to 09 coyote generation 2 swap! Guide and help tips

That’s pretty minuscule, and with proper tubing you’ll never know. The exhaust cams are the same G1 vs. G2

05 to 09 coyote generation 2 swap! Guide and help tips

I’m friends with Nate and I wouldn’t even call us competitors cause we help each other out, but I would go with gen one cams, phasers, and ecu and have no messages on your cluster and have everything work as intended with one PCM

05 to 09 coyote generation 2 swap! Guide and help tips

Lot of work when you could just use gen one cams and phasers to use a gen 1 ECU with a gen 2 engine and have everything, just, work.

    Early S197 Coyote swap.

No. A client tried and said it was not worth it nor even worked

    Early S197 Coyote swap.

No. The older abs isn’t compatible

    Early S197 Coyote swap.

Either need to use the PBH shift able bracket, or I've seen people use the 11-14 shifter and cable and clever trim work to make it look nice

05 to 09 coyote generation 2 swap! Guide and help tips

No Gen 1, everything bolts up and you can re use the transmission and trans harness. ECU even bolts in place. Motor mounts get re used. All gages work except the ABS and Airbag modules aren't happy with not communicating with the PCM

05 to 09 coyote generation 2 swap! Guide and help tips

Good stuff. I usually deal with gen one ECUs where they’re 99% compatible with the cluster and SJB of these 05-10 cars. I just did a swap in a 2014 expedition but I’m not sure if these will help

05 to 09 coyote generation 2 swap! Guide and help tips

Interested in this Arduino item you speak of. What info do you have on it?

    Early S197 Coyote swap.

Depends on if you want select shift or not, if so then you need 13-14 ECU, but the you need the newer 13-14 cruise buttons/wheel for cruise to work. If you don't want select shift, then 11-12 will work and the cruise will work with the 05-09 cruise buttons.

    Early S197 Coyote swap.

Gen one f150 exhaust cams are the same. Intakes are different

    Early S197 Coyote swap.

Yes. Need to use a gen1 6r80 with a gen one ECU unless you change the valve body in the 15-17 6R, but don’t quote me on that. I’d just get the 11-14 6R

    Early S197 Coyote swap.

Just the gen one cams and phasers

    Gen3 coyote swap in 2005

That’s actually my harness. Only works with a gen one ECU so all the gages and cruise and ac work. He’d have to do a 3-2-1 setup to use a gen one ECU to use the gen 3 short block

    Gen3 coyote swap in 2005

That control pack is for a 10R80 along with the ECU. There was no Gen 3 controls with a 6R80 so you need a manual trans control pack with a US Shift controller or equivalent

    putting in 5.4 2v in 2010 mustang.

I'd do a Coyote before a 5.4 2V. www.make-it-modular.com has a plug and play harness to do just that. You're going to have a difficult time getting a 2V to play nice with the 2010 body. Our harness allows the cruise gages and AC to work.

Hey! Check out www.youtube.com/mattsoppa We just started the swap process with a 2008 F150 to a coyote and plan on using the same methods we applied to the 05-10 Mustangs here at www.make-it-modular.com. Well' have a plug and play harness for the trucks once we complete our own swap. We'll...
