    Cat delete/clean out

I am running a built engine with a stage 2 Roush. Lito advised me that pushing much more power would melt the cats. So I gutted them. While I did not notice any loss in low end torque, I did notice an increase in power. Most hand-held tuners will turn off the rear O2 sensors to prevent the...

    2007 supercharged tuning

LITO!!! Turned my 05 Roush TVS build into a beast. 515 RWHP @14psi.

    UNUSUAL Front End Clunk

So apparently the CV axle isnt the problem. Cant find the darn thing anywhere. (LOL) But I did replace the crappy SR Performance rear control arms that had really badly torn bushings. (Less than one year of use) And now the clunk seems gone. I figure the rear control arms were...

    UNUSUAL Front End Clunk

I checked the K member bolts. Tight. I pulled the drivers side lower control arm. All the bolts holding it were really tight. The bushings were all good. I did find the front bushing mount hole had gotten hollowed out a bit from being loose sometime in the past. However, since this bolt is...

    UNUSUAL Front End Clunk

I did check the K member bolts about a month ago. I'll check them again. Pulling the drivers side lower control arm tomorrow. So I'll be under the car... might as well check everything again.

    UNUSUAL Front End Clunk

I'll check it out. They are the factory bolts.... but Thanks!

    UNUSUAL Front End Clunk

Yup.... I've tightened the heck out of them with an impact gun. However, I did have to slot one due to a bad castor angle during alignment. Maybe the bolt holding the slotted side is the culprit. There should be wear marks along the slot. I'll let you know in a couple of weeks. I'm old and still...

    UNUSUAL Front End Clunk

Ok... we all know the drill.... S197 front ends make all sorts of noises. Mine recently began making a serious clunk when turning, coming from where I believe to be around the drivers side front of the car. I can feel it HARD in the floorboard, but not the steering wheel. It sometimes occurs...

Fuel Calculations way off after SC install

I didnt ask.... but I get the impression Lito started from scratch. A totally new program rather than attempting to build off the one I had. And so far I've been very impressed with his work. I have even done some stupid stuff to my car and he worked it out. (designed my own PCV system, which...

Fuel Calculations way off after SC install

Lito fixed my MPG problems.... now installing a MUCH stronger rebuilt engine.

Fuel Calculations way off after SC install

Lito got it all taken care of.... tune issue. At least from the initial 40 mile run using his tune.

    Thanks... I'll check into this.

Fuel Calculations way off after SC install

Ha ha.... yes. But does your cars computer still give you accurate MPG and gallons used info????

Fuel Calculations way off after SC install

By "hacked" I assume you mean screwed up. Considering the speedometer had never been off before the tune, and now it and pretty much everything else associated with the ECU's understanding of fuel consumption is off.... Its the tune? Can you be more specific on which part(s) of the tune?

Fuel Calculations way off after SC install

From what I have been told the cars computer looks at things like the fuel pump duty cycle, the fixed injector size, the mass air flow rate, engine load and perhaps even the throttle body position to calculate an estimated gallons used and miles per gallon. So basically a lot information goes...

Fuel Calculations way off after SC install

I was told no. The actual fuel pump assembly was not touched.

Fuel Calculations way off after SC install

Hey all, TUNERS HELP!!! I installed a Roush R2300 supercharger kit on my 05 Mustang GT in early August. After the install I took it to my local Mustang specialty shop to have it dyno-tuned. The tune went well, and the car drives fine. WOW! However.... ever since having it tuned the car's...

Thanks. All help with this issue are appreciated. :highfive:

Failing ECU or? Top tuners chime in.

I gutted the factory plates.... then plugged the runner holes with high-temp epoxy. Should I be concerned? Cleaned the old sensor... then replaced it with a NEW OEM sensor. My original COP's were working fine. No indication of failure. I replaced them with the after-market...

NOPE... wrote too soon.... not fixed. Same issue as before. Put on a new Throttle Position Sensor as well. Still no luck........... going back to the original ECU.... and square one.

Failing ECU or? Top tuners chime in.

New computer put in today. Car seems to be running well, with no indication of the issue. Going to drive it for at least 100 miles before I consider it solved.

Failing ECU or? Top tuners chime in.

Thanks for the info. This is the sort of stuff I'm looking for on the forum. I'm looking forward to seeing if a new ECU will fix my cars issue.

Failing ECU or? Top tuners chime in.

Today I was able to have Ford verify that the car ECU is in fact running the most recent program load/strategy. The tech did not see anything to indicate a possible program corruption. So a couple of weeks from now I will have my local tune shop swap out the cars ECU with one they have on...
