    Dropped something into oil pan

Not the same motor, but on an old low budget turbo 4 cylinder project i had i was cutting out a oil return on the oil pan while the engine was still in the car and the entire 3/4" circle piece i cut out fell into the pan. I figured there was no way i was getting it out easy and it would never...

    Anyone have Mineral Grey???

ya the 4x4 stock suspension is hurting. I bought a new home and I have been living through construction last two years. I have such bad roads in my neighbourhood that I would scrape/smash everywhere if it was lowered. Even just pulling into my driveway would wreck most lowered cars. Supposed to...

T-56 magnum cruise control speedometer assistance

not sure if you have the same sct options as me, but revs/mile also needs to be set to accommodate your wheel size. maybe it has some wacko value in it that is throwing off your readings. just a thought..

    Turbo Numbers

would be great to see a complete mod list if you have it handy! are these numbers at the flywheel or at the wheels? what kind of dyno was it? what kind of fuel did you run? it must be a ton of fun to drive. do you think it will last for very long at 9psi on the stock shortblock?

    White smoke on turbo car.

if it is not the restrictor than is there any chance you have head gasket issues? white smoke can also be coolant. think of the old 3.8 v6s.. I cleared a city block with white smoke when my head gasket started going.

Makdaddys S&H Turbo Build ( SLOW)

I would call comp turbo just to make sure. You can ruin your turbo pretty quickly if you have too much pressure. found another thread regarding the turbo (and a guy having smoking issues with a .080 restrictor but on a 2v mustang) and a couple people mention they are running 0.065...

Makdaddys S&H Turbo Build ( SLOW)

it is possible that if you are using a small feed line than the line itself may provide enough of a restriction so you do not need a seperate restrictor. If you know the exact model of the turbo I can look it up pretty quickly on google or on the comp turbo site.

    3V - S197 - GT500 TB vs Delete Plates - Bang For Buck

Maybe I could just drop by a muffler shop on the way home and have them cut out the stock H pipe where the restriction is and replace with normal pipe and forget the aftermarket H altogether.

Makdaddys S&H Turbo Build ( SLOW)

out of curiosity why would you not run an oil restrictor? is there an internal restrictor? (seen those on some saab turbos before). every journal bearing turbo I have had on previous cars needs one to restrict oil to the correct pressure or you will blow out the seals in no time and it will...

    3V - S197 - GT500 TB vs Delete Plates - Bang For Buck

an interesting read: " Then went back to the shop and they tweaked a few things in my tune. WOW what a difference I felt just from having the plates put to all open." http://mustangforums.com/forum/2005-2014-mustangs/534536-charge-motion-delete-plates.html I think I am just going to purchase...

    3V - S197 - GT500 TB vs Delete Plates - Bang For Buck

ya thats what I was thinking (see first post) about the throttle position (that the "gains" felt are just a result of the throttle allowing more air at partial throttle, but no actual gains at WOT). Talking Delete Plates.. Since there is no way to do a true apples to apples comparison (since...

    3V - S197 - GT500 TB vs Delete Plates - Bang For Buck

I dont plan to go racing , just looking for some more power with simple bolt on mods that I can live with on the daily commute. I think if I decide to do the delete plates I am going to look a little more into the DIY method and just spend money on a mail order tune for them. That should keep...

    3V - S197 - GT500 TB vs Delete Plates - Bang For Buck

shorty headers also seem to be a hit and miss depending on whos thread you are reading. aside from the rough install, I know the peak gains may not be impressive, but did the curve gains seem worth it to you? There is like night and day difference in reviews on the exact same headers online...

    3V - S197 - GT500 TB vs Delete Plates - Bang For Buck

do you have obd testing or just the dyno/sniffer routine? we no longer put our cars on dynos here or run a sniffer device. They visually inspect everything and then they plug into obd and look for ANYTHING they can find so that they can fail you from what I am told. the guy I bought the car...

    3V - S197 - GT500 TB vs Delete Plates - Bang For Buck

I already had a similar debate in my head a month ago between Steeda UDPs and the delete plates and the UDPs won the argument for me in the end as a local guy gave me a great (and I mean great) deal on his like new pullies as he removed them to install a blower. I ended up dropping by Steeda...

    07 S197 Coyote swap

wow. I was behind a newer black 5.0 with a license plate holder that read 650HP yesterday. I was just thinking yaaaa right buddy its probably stock or something.. then I though hmmmm.. those tires too look quite a bit wider than mine.. I guess he saw me chuckle at first in his rear...

    06' on3 turbo question

not sure if it is relevant to your situation, but I was talking with a tuner last week about tuning EMS on the 4.6. When I asked him if he hooks up wideband o2 sensors in both manifolds he mentions that he does that at first to make sure the banks are balanced and then later on once the car is...

any chance someone knows of a wider door sill available that would cover up the dent?

Stock Suspension \ Axle Alignment Questions

Filled her up and now the high side gap is 3.8 and the low side is 3.6 so I guess I am in good shape. Well now that I know the axle is OK the suspension is OK and the dent is probably not anything to worry about I can get back to looking into modding the car. Thanks for all the info guys!

Stock Suspension \ Axle Alignment Questions

great thanks for the info. I honestly feel better after reading that lol the only reason I was thinking the frame could be bent was because of that dent. Other than that I dont have any reason to suspect that its bent. I will still spend some time this week checking out the rest of the car if I...
