    I think if you want the tin can raspy sound with a 3v you are going to deal with some trumpeting using an offroad H/X pipe. I got rid of it by switching to Borla, but they are not raspy like my Pypes Violators were.

    Well, opinion is yes. I guess you could experiment how well the knock sensors work, or how well the engine runs with 0 degrees of timing.

    Probably goes without saying, but make sure you clean out the manifold and intercooler really well, I was surprised how much metal debris there was in there.

    Maybe your springs settled a bit. Air pressure low in one or more tires. My driveway is pretty level but not perfect and I can tell a difference between my driveway and my garage.

    3.55 or 3.73?

    I have ran 4.10, 3.73, and 3.55 with my supercharged 3v tr3650. I really liked 3.73 at the 475 rwhp level. 3.55s now with 600+ rwhp. If you think the 4.10 are way too much then do 3.55, if you think 4.10 are just a little to much then you will be happier with 3.73.

    What I've learned over 20 years is you cant expect aftermarket bolt ons to just bolt on with no trouble. Especially the cheap stuff from China. I had pypes violators for a bit and one of the tips was noticeably out of whack.

    So this happened to me, and it was because the thrust surface of the camshaft cap broke out. I assume I cracked it and didn't notice. I was actually able to reuse my phaser. You need to pull the valve cover, there are probably brass windings everywhere.

    Borla touring with long tube headers and cat-less X pipe. For the most part I can have a normal conversation in the car, and it is loud when I want it to be.

    Probably personal preference, the urethane mounts transmit more noise in general. For me it sounded like a speaker with a bad ground, and after one drive I wasn't having it. I'm kinda picky about weird noises, gear whine, exhaust drone, etc.

    I did this for about 15 minutes. With urethane motor mounts, that Meizere pump transmits a lot noise into the cabin, so much that even if it does add 20 hp (which based off Engine Masters testing, it doesnt) it is not worth it on the street.

    I would think you would feel the vibration of a bad u joint, but maybe not. I would call a bad u joint a clanging noise. It appears you have isolated it to a driveline issue, light load, at take off. Is it only while you let the clutch out, or only after its fully released? Does the clutch slip...

    Knocking from the rear... completely lost.

    New caliper and change the axle bearing. Not sure how a competent mechanic would miss that though. Slack between the disc and the pads should be no more than 1/16 inch.

    It could, and octane boost or seafoam is like 10 bucks. Personally I wouldn't describe mild pinging as clacking, but raising octane (I put a couple gallons of race gas in) is easy and cheap. Without hearing it very tough to say. Could even be the AC clutch.
